Crescent Farms Golf Course
About
Formerly known as the Players Club at St. Louis, Crescent Farms Golf Club has undergone more than just a name change with a major course renovation that included lengthening the fairways and reconstructing the bentgrass greens. The course has a parkland layout with mature trees lining the fairways and plenty of water coming into play throughout. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers that appear along the greensides. Golfers will come across several risk-reward opportunities where good course management and accuracy are the key. One of Crescent Farms Golf Clubs toughest holes comes halfway through the golf course. The par-4 ninth hole begins with an intimidating tee shot protected by two fairway bunkers, a hazard to the left, and tall native grasses to the right. The challenges don't end there either, golfers are then faced with a second shot to a heavily bunkered, sloping double-tiered green.

Crescent Farms
Fun course, very good t box lengths for men and woman. Fairways not pristeen just bump it, the views are great. Unless you can hit 240 drives play green or tan to have fun.
Great change
I've been playing this course for a few years now and have a ton of work it has become one of the best course I consistently play.
Decent course with hot deal
Hot deal for $32 on the weekend is what I would pay for this course. Ok layout, some course knowledge goes a long way as there are some awkward tee shots. Overall condition was good but the tee boxes were not cut and very long. I would recommend with a hot deal but not for $50+ normal rates. I prefer Aberdeen and crystal springs for similarly priced courses.
Nice outing
New zoysia fairways on 6 holes are coming in nicely, with carts restricted to paths only on them. I liked the course, challenging, even though it is not crazy. There are some very narrow holes, which make it tough if you miss by a little, but not all holes are like that. They do need some marshals to speed up play. We were waiting on every tee box and sometimes for quite a long while.
Nice course
course was in good shape.. bunkers were a bit hard and greens a bit slow but overall a good experience. I will return for sure.
A lot to like
Played here while visiting family. Friendly staff. Nice course. This time we played the executive as well. Overall great experience.
McCain review
The course is in nice condition but 5holes were closed due to resodding. They have a 9 hole executive course to play because 5 holes are closed. I think that should have been stated on the website.
excellent
Very well kept. Fun to play. Very friendly staff..
Honesty is the often the best policy... But not here
I played at crescent farms yesterday and got what I thought was a decent rate 28.00 a person. Our tee time was early evening and we expected to play quickly and get through as many holes as possible. Come to find out that they had a tournament that day and were 15 min behind schedule. Not a huge deal but for an evening tee time it's not good news. Then after playing the first hole, we come to find out number 2 is closed to re-sod the fairways. We continue along thinking not great but one hole won't kill us. By the time we finished the front 9, we had only played 4 holes. 5 of the first 9 holes are closed. Number 11 is also closed for the same reasoning. I don't know about you, but no one had told us or even warned us when making the tee time that 33% of the course was closed. While we were going to complain after playing, the club house had closed and we weren't able to talk with anyone. I've played here before but it is not a common course for my friends and I. I would have been much happier playing Pevely right next door where I could have actually played 18 holes for 24 dollars. I could have even gone to Aberdeen and played 18 for 35. If that much of the course is closed, the rates should reflect that with a warning. I can't imagine 42 dollars being the original price of a tee time past 5 on a Tuesday. Awful experience. Probably won't ever play here again.
Course under repair
We bought our tee times on Golf Now and did not know that 5 or so of the 18 holes were under repair and were under repair and not to be played. They gave us a round of 9 on the "Pony" executive course, but that's not the same....
Nice course, great staff
Enjoyed the course. They were in the process of laying some new sod the day we played but the staff couldn't have been any nicer or more accommodating. Will definitely be back.
course under repair!
5 holes under repair! And what holes not under repair should be except for 1 hole (hole 10) and par 3's. Roughs bad as well. Should either close until complete or charge half price. Way to expensive for ho. Bad it was.
Five Holes Closed
Five of the 18 holes were closed for fairway replacement. Since I bought through Golfnow, I was not aware until I got there. They told us we could just play 5 more holes on the Colt course which is a short par 3, nine hole course. But when we got there, a threesome with an 8 year old were in front of us and they were all new to golf. We went back to the main course and played 5 more holes. We were also given a $10 certificate for a future round. Th be fair, the greens were in great shape. Some fairways were already zoysia, and several fairways still need to be replaced. Someday this course will be worth $48 dollars to play on the weekend. But not until they are done replacing all the fairways.
Crescent Farm
Like the course and the course layout, especially No. 9 and 18. Disappointed that we were not told at time of booking tee time that three of the holes were under renovation and converted to par 3s. Were given a coupon for $10 off another round. Weak. Greens were in great shape.
Great course to play
Good afternoon! Fairways were well kept and ruff was not so long as to hinder your shot.
Greens were in excellent condition. Not too fast .
Overall a fun course to play.
I still have trouble with holes 9 and 18.
Very nice and easy using GolfNow.com
Walked up to counter gave my name and tee time and was told I was good to go. Just pick out the cart you want, load up and play.
Good course but fairways need work
This is a pretty nice course that presents a pretty good challenge as accuracy is a pretty key component here. The facilities including the driving range and clubhouse are very nice. The biggest issue that needs to be addressed are the fairways. They were inconsistent throughout the round with weeds/bare spots. Overall at $17 for 18 as a hot deal...the round was a steal. I would say anything $35 and under is a decent enough value here.
A nice lay out doesn't live up to its potential
This is a nice lay out that suffers from a lack of upkeep. The fairways were terrible and several of the tee areas needed grass. In fairness to the course, the greens were in decent shape. I really expected it to be in better condition since it is early in the year. Perhaps it was too early and we'll have to try it again next month. The GolfNow price was very good.
okay but not for $48
I realize it was sunday and one of the nicest days this year, but 5hours and 25 minutes for 18 is ridiculous!
