Crescent Farms Golf Course
About
Formerly known as the Players Club at St. Louis, Crescent Farms Golf Club has undergone more than just a name change with a major course renovation that included lengthening the fairways and reconstructing the bentgrass greens. The course has a parkland layout with mature trees lining the fairways and plenty of water coming into play throughout. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers that appear along the greensides. Golfers will come across several risk-reward opportunities where good course management and accuracy are the key. One of Crescent Farms Golf Clubs toughest holes comes halfway through the golf course. The par-4 ninth hole begins with an intimidating tee shot protected by two fairway bunkers, a hazard to the left, and tall native grasses to the right. The challenges don't end there either, golfers are then faced with a second shot to a heavily bunkered, sloping double-tiered green.

27 hole course 18 hole & 9 hole executive
We were given the option of playing the 18 or the Exec. 9hole. twice. We opted for the 9 hole. It was fantastic. It had rained the nite before so hole one was a bit soggy the rest were fine.
Loved this course it has a few par 4 and the rest par 3. Loved the nuances each hole gave. Course is well maintained. Wish I could move it out To California. Would play it every chance we could. Loved It!
Fun track
Played CF for the 1st time found it very enjoyable. Fairways, greens and traps were all well-maintained. Trees and water make the course somewhat tight but not bad. This is a nice contrast to the links style course across the street.
Muni Layout, Good Value, Easy Track
Course looks like it is trending up, some areas still need attention. Greens were slow and hairy. Course is under maintained .
Worth it if you get it on the cheap
First time I have ever played the course. Greens were slow and fairways were high. Took almost 5 hours to play. Didn't like that course doesn't have GPS, book, or something to help you understand what club to hit from tee on big doglegs. Sometimes i should have hit a 3wood and other times a 5wood...would have never known. Staff was super friendly and drove a lost club someone turned in back out to me.
the course was a joy to play
nice fairways and very goon greens will play agian this summer
nice comeback
played this course in the past and it was a disaster area, very nice comeback. A lot of work has gone into it and it shows.Rough, fairways greens are all improved. But the one thing that stops me from coming here on regular basis has not improved-slow play. this place becoming notorious for slow play
Back in great shape
I didn't play cresent all year last year upon hearing about how bad of shape it was in from a friend. We played it yesterday for first time in a couple years and it is back in great shape. Two of us played in under 3 hours early in the morning.
Very nice course. Each hole introduced a new challenge.
I enjoyed this course very much. It was in good condition, even on a day in the high 90's. I would play this course again in a heartbeat. The only problem I had with this course was the fact that several holes on the front 9 felt cramped. There just didn't seem to be enough space between each green and the following tee box.
Excellent course conditions
The course was in great shape. The fairways and tee boxes were really well maintained. The greens were neither too fast or too slow. Crescent Farms is challenging while still being a very playable course. The pace of play was excellent. I have golfed here over the years and I believe this year is one of the best for course conditions.
Great Course, but annoying helicopter
It was a great course and I enjoyed playing it. They have some challenging holes and the course was maintained. A helicopter kept flying over about every 5 minutes it seemed. I don't know if it was doing training or what, but trying to tee off and putt with an annoying helicopter flying over isn't exactly the most fun. Still a great course to play.
This was a fun course
the course was in good shape considering that we have had a very wet stretch of weather.
A great course that has stood the test of time.
Always one of my favorites and today it played quickly as the heat was high. Very enjoyable.
Course plays well for 20 handicapers
There are enough easy holes to give you confidence and a few like 9 and 18 to really challenge you
Excellent layout and challenging.
The rough needs to be cut lower. Hard to find some balls which takes time. Bare spot in rough needs attention. greens bumpy. Need to be rolled.
very well maintained course. nice atmosphere
the course was in good shape. friendly staff. could use a marshal to keep things moving along. some people take too long to play a hole.
Needs some work
Normally a fan of Crescent, the people specifically have always been very good, course, however, needs some TLC. Greens recently aerated and very sandy...no prior notification that this had been done or a sign in the clubhouse that i saw. Very patchy areas on some tees, in many fairways and surrounding a lot of the greens. One of the par 3 drop zones had almost zero grass to hit from. Maintenance turned water on the green as we were preparing to approach so that caused us to wait a few times. Left standing water on one of the holes for us to putt through. For $25/round i could live with ALL of that. Not for nearly $50. I'm sure I'll give it another shot just based on proximity.
For early spring the course was in good shape
For early spring and after a late winter the course was in good shape. Greens putted true and a little slower than usual. Over all it was a good value for the money. Great staff and very helpful
Golf in Jan.
The course was a little wet from the rain and snow we got earlier in the week, but overall I thought the course was in good shape.
always enjoyable course
Good course, flat, not overly difficult. Toughest holes- 9 & 18. Similar holes require precise tee shot for good approach. Number 7 intetesting, also needs good placement of tee shot. Plenty of water hazards to add a challenge. Fav hole-#11 dogleg par5, water left and right. Dont hit tee shot too long, no chance to go at green, bring water into play.
