Florissant Golf Club

First of all, I understand it is summer. I think the course has sprinklers but not sure they're functional. The fairways need water as they are at risk of completely drying up.

I love this course and I have played it many times over the years going back to the mid-60s. I would be a shame to loose all the good work that has been done these past few years.

For a super well-maintained course, however the layout is decent. The greens were in good shape, but unfortunately, the fairways and grass don’t give you great lies and can be fairly hard at times. Seems for the price a reasonable and I would play it again even though I wouldn’t play it often.

Went here with a group of 4 people. All of us were first timers. Had a great time. Plenty of challenging holes along the course. Anything but flat which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Being the first time playing, I didn’t know what to expect. What I didn’t expect was hard dirt under the tee boxes, fairways, greens. Couldn’t hardly get a tee in the ground. A little sand goes a long way. This made for very unpredictable playing conditions. I can imagine this was a great course back in the day. But was very disappointed today.

Course in great shape greens r good but some of the ter boxes were very hard and hard to get ur tee in the ground

Booked a last minute tee time, staff was friendly and for $40 the course was in great condition. Good value overall.

Not the longest course, and with the hills and semi-blind tee shots on some holes you have options to try and shape your shots. Pretty tight layout with fairways close together, but still plenty of room to operate. Greens were soft, but I think players need a lesson on fixing divots and pitch marks! It had just rained though, too, so there were also a lot of marks from spikes/shoes near the holes. Great time!

I've been playing this course since it opened in 1964 and was known as Paddock. Current managment has done a very good job in improving conditions. Yes, there are some blind tee shots but another reviewer said "on nearly every hole" which is not true-maybe 2-3 at best.It has just as many downhill holes.It is rolling terrain and somewhat hilly which adds to its challenge of playing from unlevel lies.

Great course a little tricky to navigate but worth it

The area needed the rain so I will not complain the wet fairways took away some extra yardage for me but the corse was in great shape and as usual a challenging course for my level of play

My main thought on this course is that it’s very hilly with blind spots on darn near every hole. If you want to spend a lot of time in those conditions, this is your place. Too many holes are hitting up into a big hill. They really need to take better care of their tee boxes as well. For the money, it’s a good value. Staff was very friendly.

Course is in rough shape. Not a lot of grass on the fairways. Tee boxes need work. Sand traps were completely full of water. Irrigation is non existent. I play here about once a year. That's probably my last round here in awhile if ever.

Pace of play was really bad. Thursday morning 11am tee time.. I left around 1pm after we finished the 5th hole. Brutal.
