Best Bang for Buck
Overall this course was great, somewhat challenging but not too bad for a beginner. Pace of play was kinda slow but not terrible. For the price this course was definitely worth it and I hope to play it again soon.
This isn’t a 4 star course. -10 star manager of the place
Course was not good. Greens were the worst part… I’d also love to know who this manager is. He was VERY unprofessional…. Just a terrible experience over all. Out of all the course in the metro area this one is probably the worst exp for what they charge… I’ve golfed them all. I will not be coming back…
Terrible experience
This course all in all was terrible. I play once or twice a week and out of all the course in the surrounding area this one was bad. The manager was horrible…. My partner and I didn’t feel welcomed. I read this on other reviews before going to this place but I wanted to see for myself. I noticed that he was getting into it with a paying customer about a little kid having his clubs in his dads cart. He was going to make them go back into the clubhouse before they teed off to pay an extra 10 dollars. This kid probably was 5 years old… His dad mentioned that the clubs were in there to make his kid feel like he was golfing and he may take a shot or two where his dads ball lands but that was it. he most certainly had this little guy crying and took the keys out of the golf cart and kicked them out. I will say the dad looked like he had enough and lost his cool but he had a right to… I was in the clubhouse while the gentleman was paying and it started off bad from the jump. That’s when the manager then waited for them to come to the first hole to check to see if this little guy was playing or not. Not only was this manager very unprofessional he took it a step further and amped up the situation by stopping them and forcing them to pay more because the little guys bag was in the cart… This manager needs a course on treating people and customer service…. I couldn’t believe my eyes…. I couldn’t believe he wouldn’t give them a refund either. Just a bad place all together. It always starts with management…. The course is honestly at the bottom of the surrounding areas clubs… This manager needs fired or a good talking to. I will not be coming back.
Poor conditions and management
This course used to be pretty good. Now it has went downhill very fast. The management is key… For the price you can find places to go in the surrounding area that are waaaay better. I felt very unwelcome as soon as I stepped foot in the clubhouse. I’ve never seen this manager before but he had the poorest attitude that I’ve ever seen from someone who is in his position. I’ve read other reviews about this place and I’m not the only one saying this… His attitude led to words being exchanged and then he wouldn’t give me a refund for my 38 bucks for 9 holes. He also made a little kid cry and seemed completely fine with it. I think he got dodgeballs thrown at him back in his day and now has this position and he feels like he is something now… If you do end up going there please make sure to talk to the lady that works there. She is great. I do believe this new manager that has been in control for the last year or two needs a reality check on how to talk to people in general but more so how to talk to paying customers…. Anyways, course condition is subpar…. The greens are the worst part. You can’t putt with confidence. There are so many patchy areas. Just a horrible experience, exp for the price. I hope the right person sees this and has a chat with this manager. He is bringing your course down…. Many others feel the same.
My wife and I are both pretty new to golf, only playing for about the last year. We got paired up with two older gentlemen who were really helpful giving us tips here and there without overdoing it. Made for a really fun date day on the course.
I’d definitely recommend Rolling Hills. I’ve played it several times, but it was my wife’s first time there and she really enjoyed it too. Great course for newer golfers and an all-around good time.
This course was challenging
Had a great day. The staff was friendly. The course was in good shape. Only problem was I wish they would’ve opened up the outdoor bathrooms.
Challenging
I love playing this course because it is challenging for me.
STOP STARTING ON THE 10TH HOLE UNLESS SOMEONE TELLS YOU TO
Was a nice shot maker course. First group in the AM, but then make the turn to 10th hole and a group in front of us never fails. Ruined the great pace of play and just destroyed the good time.
Staff is pathetic. Upon arriving they ask “what are you trying to do?” Pace of play was horrible. A lot of beginners that don’t know etiquette. We had a foursome loop around to play extra holes and cut us off at 14. Then wouldn’t let us play through. We skipped 15 to speed things up. When we finished 18 we went back to play 15. The foursome was still on 17 and we would have finished the short par 3 before them. Staff chased us down and made us leave but allowed them to continue.
Happy
Had a great time. We were paired up with 2 young men and have now met 2 new friends!

Fairways are indistinguishable from the rough. They look like my backyard.
