Kensington Metropark

Paired me up with another tee time prior. 2 hours for 6 holes is crazy. Staff is rude also

Overall a great public course. The tee boxes were in good condition and even had broken tee containers. The carts were in good order and several well placed bathrooms. The only downside was the pace, if you’re a beginner, you will have a hard time keeping up. Also, beautiful wildlife: deer, cranes, turkeys, geese, etc.

The course was better than I remember. The staff inside at the turn was not receptive to making food at the turn. The course was playing slow and the groups behind us were playing slower by the turn. If you are offering food “a grilled cheese” should be able to be made within 8-10 minutes. I didn’t want a sandwich which was pre made the day before.

$8.00 for a leftover sandwich has no value for me.

The golf course tees, fairways and greens were all in excellent condition. The course was surprisingly challenging. The clubhouse amenities and restaurant accommodations were better than any course that I’ve played in the area in recent times.

I used to golf here alot. They used to charge to get into the metro park which I feel is just not good business especially when your already paying to play golf. Just an extra fee. They used to give you a discount on the golf when you paid for the park entry fee. Now they raised the park price and don't give any discount back. So I won't be returning back to this course. Sorry just not worth the extra cost, golf isn't cheap as it is and then have to pay a park entry fee. I've played other courses in metro areas and didn't have to pay a entry fee. Sad because I did enjoy the play.
