Kensington metro golf
Course was absolutely beautiful. Manicured fairways. Geese and Sandhills cranes. Wide open, not too many obstructions. One shot over water. Nicest course I’ve been to in this area. Grill had no brats, hot dog was cold. Excellent beer selections.
Great course
Greens are great condition and course maintenance is also great. A few bunker doesn't have a rake so, I did with my shoes.
Great value
I love the metro park golf courses. They are always in great condition, and can't beat the value. $18 to walk 18 on a weekend, anytime after noon. Other courses in the area don't offer that even at twilight, and are still in rough shape coming out of winter. My only complaint is the lack of a driving range to warm up before a round.
Very nice course condition and kind staff.
The fairway was very well managed and lawn length is appropriate for me. Also green condition is nice and the ball rolling speed is a little bit slow but no problem.
All staffs are kind and smile.
Great Muni
One of the nicest muni’s that I’ve played. Terrific condition for April. Will definitely come back!!
Good condition; but, on course bathrooms were locked?
We enjoy playing this course. It was in good condition and the greens were in good shape.
However, we were disappointed to find the course bathrooms locked and not accessible.
Nice Course, slow play
The course itself is nice and well maintained. It is somewhat challenging but can’t beat the price. The pace of play can be very slow and golf etiquette seems to have disappeared
Fun course for all levels of play
This is a fun course. There aren't any forced carries over water, but the layout makes it very playable. You don't have to worry too much about parallel fairways and errant shots from tee boxes. The heather was still short when I played, but makes for some tighter fairways on some of the dogleg holes. Greens were in good condition for being early in the year. Staff is very friendly and they are pretty good at keeping the tee times on time. Great snack and food selection for a metro park.
April Golf
Kensington is always one of my favorite courses. Each hole is challenging in it's own right without gimmicks. Wide fairways and large greens but with an undulating layout that makes distance control and shot selection key on every shot. Truly a great course for both beginners and more experienced players. Length off the tee is useful but recovery shots will keep you in play for par. The greens are receptive and in great condition for early April. Have fun!
