About
Pohlcat Golf Club in Mount Pleasant has a winding layout that crosses the Chippewa River multiple times. The course sprawls across a diverse landscape that includes mature woodlands, rolling grassy meadows, and natural wetlands. It's a challenging layout with water coming into play on 14 holes and 56 bunkers strategically placed along the tree-lined fairways and greens. The tricky slopes and undulations on the greens, which can range from subtle to dramatic, add another challenging element to the golf course. The unique design goes back and forth between wooded holes and open, links-style holes, offering plenty of variety throughout. In addition to the golf course, there is also a practice facility available that includes a spacious grass range, two putting greens, and a short game area for putting and bunker practice.

Great course, bad hot dog
The fairways and greens were in great shape. The staff was great, especially when my wife phoned in a drink and lunch order and they brought it out to us on hole 10 (which is not near the clubhouse, if you don't know). One poor score would be for my hot dog. I think it was cooked 3 hours before I got it and the bun was stale. Still like the course and my wife liked her hamburger

PACE: Played the first 12 holes in about 90 minutes... played the last 6 holes in 2 hours. I just caught the course/outing/league... not anyone's fault.
CONDITIONS: Everything seemed fine.
STAFF: Got me paid and out on the first tee.
VALUE: Maybe a bit more than I'd pay again, but I would still try again.
LAYOUT: The course goes back and forth between being open and being in the trees. Fun finishing 3 holes.

Perfect except no ranger
We caught up with a group of 7 playing together on the 14th hole. Should have been a ranger on the course to break them up.

Nice course
Always nice at the Cat !!! Just allot of slow players with no golf etiquette , hitting three balls, taking a long time to search for lost balls and not letting a faster twosome (they were four) play through. We had to ask !

Challenging but fun course
Hope you are hitting your irons and driver straight. Very tight course that doesn’t forgive you much if your off the fairway.
