About
Pohlcat Golf Club in Mount Pleasant has a winding layout that crosses the Chippewa River multiple times. The course sprawls across a diverse landscape that includes mature woodlands, rolling grassy meadows, and natural wetlands. It's a challenging layout with water coming into play on 14 holes and 56 bunkers strategically placed along the tree-lined fairways and greens. The tricky slopes and undulations on the greens, which can range from subtle to dramatic, add another challenging element to the golf course. The unique design goes back and forth between wooded holes and open, links-style holes, offering plenty of variety throughout. In addition to the golf course, there is also a practice facility available that includes a spacious grass range, two putting greens, and a short game area for putting and bunker practice.

Nice course
Always nice at the Cat !!! Just allot of slow players with no golf etiquette , hitting three balls, taking a long time to search for lost balls and not letting a faster twosome (they were four) play through. We had to ask !

Challenging but fun course
Hope you are hitting your irons and driver straight. Very tight course that doesn’t forgive you much if your off the fairway.

Great golfcourse
Played several times last few years. Need every club in your bag & a great challenge. Dan Pohl is a a very cordial host & will spend time with group if time allows. Great place!!
The best designed course I have played.
Staff was outstanding! Experience is second to none. From the time I entered the clubhouse
to the completion of my round. Recommend this course to everyone that plays the game.

Aeration
Aeration was the worst I have ever seen. No heads up when making the reservation. Beautiful course but heads-up would have been appreciated.

Excellent Greens
This course was a little wet from all the heavy rain over the last few weeks, but greens were excellent. This is the most challenging course in Central Michigan so bring your “A” game!

One of the better golf courses in Mt Pleasant area.
This course is great, played it a few times before, greens are nice but when I putting for birdie and get bogey little mad. But had a fun time. On one hole a deer walked right up to us. If you like nature and beauty you will have a great time.

Not Top 100
I made a Fall road trip to Michigan the end of Sept. and added The Pohlcat to list of courses to play. I rad that this course was in the top 100 in the country and top 5 in Michigan, not the case. The fairways were not cut and the conditions were marginal at best. The tee boxes were uneven, sparse and uncut.
Nice to say I played it but once was enough.

Always Nice to Play
Day started a little cool but warmed up quickly. Course was in excellent shape. Pace of play was OK on the front nine but a back up occurred on the back nine. Ranger indicated a group fell 2 holes behind. So what should have taken 4 hours took almost 5. Frustrating when some groups just need a kick in the pants to get moving.
