About
Pohlcat Golf Club in Mount Pleasant has a winding layout that crosses the Chippewa River multiple times. The course sprawls across a diverse landscape that includes mature woodlands, rolling grassy meadows, and natural wetlands. It's a challenging layout with water coming into play on 14 holes and 56 bunkers strategically placed along the tree-lined fairways and greens. The tricky slopes and undulations on the greens, which can range from subtle to dramatic, add another challenging element to the golf course. The unique design goes back and forth between wooded holes and open, links-style holes, offering plenty of variety throughout. In addition to the golf course, there is also a practice facility available that includes a spacious grass range, two putting greens, and a short game area for putting and bunker practice.

Poor scheduling
Played this course dozens of times this summer alone. Smooth play until hole 7. There was a twosome in front of us. A group of 4 were sent out to the back 9. my playing partner almost hit them on his drive as they were coming through a path in the woods. They then played number 9 instead of going directly to 10. The twosome in front of us were then held up. We grouped up to keep our pace. The foursome said that they had a “back nine tee time” and apparently were in a “league”. What a joke at a course that has no turn. Backed up the entire round after this.

Slow as molasses
Played here for the 5th time, it took over 5 hours to play 18. Ordered food at the 10th hole, and the cart girl brought it out to us by the next hole. That was great because we still had 3 hours till we finished. Other than the extreme long wait time, the course was in great shape, per usual. Great place, but clear your schedule for the day.

Was beyond excited to play for the second time.
I hate to leave a bad review, but with marshals and staff at the clubhouse being unjustly rude while being a paying respectful patron on the course. Unfortunately this is the end of the continued journey I was going to play on this course, if you cannot respect the people funding your establishment I don't believe you deserve the continued respect of playing at your establishment.

Got to play 27 holes at the Pohlcat! Staff was off the chart friendly, adaptable and even got to meet Dan Pohl! Was a great time!

Pohl Cat Golf Review
Played a round today at Pohl Cat. Front nine went fast, but caught up to a golf outing the course had, which slowed things down a bit. The pin placement was tough, but I am guessing that was because of the outing. Had lunch at the clubhouse after, everything was very good.
Overall, a great experience, except for the mosquitos. :)

Slow play
I just moved from north of Atlanta. Been here 5 days. I guess these folks here are just getting out to play.
But they are in no hurry. So much for ready to play. They sit in carts and handing out at the green and tee box.

Okay
Personally had a good time, the layout of the course was forgiving and fun. The fairways on some hole where phenomenal and other just poor. It’s hard to justify the price when there’s patches on the greens and tore up fairways. I’ve played far cheaper courses that where far better maintained and much more enjoyable. Showed up one minute late to our tee time and was rushed to the tee “it was a bad day to be late” however we ran into a six sum of older gentleman that held up the pace far greater then our 2 minute tardiness. Overall staff was rude and the course is far too expensive for what you get. I do not recommend this course.

Great course!
Course was great but for $60+ 18 I expected better greens. Could just be the season but some of the greens had tons of divots that hadn’t been repaired of fringe areas that were just dirt. Overall great place and good course. Mostly me just being picky. Will play again.
