About
Eagle Glen Golf Course is one of central Michigan's best public courses. It has a traditional links-style layout reminiscent of the great courses of Scotland. The wide-open landscape is dotted with natural wetlands and tall native grasses. The layout features large, rolling greens that are framed by strategically placed bunkers and gently sloped mounds. The greens can be tough but there is usually ample room for recoveries and the generous landing areas give high handicappers a chance too. There are many water hazards that come into play but one of the most difficult elements of the course is the wind. It's a layout that requires both accuracy and proper club selection. The sixth hole is one of the Eagle Glen's prettiest but also one of its toughest. This par 3 demands a challenging carry over a pond with very little room for error.

Nice course
We’ve been to Clare several times but never played this course. It’s very nice with exception of aerated greens. It played a little slow until the foursome let us play through. The tee boxes are women friendly. Will definitely play again later in the season when the greens heal.

Highly recommended course, great value, good carts with GPS. The staff were great! Thank you for a great fall day of golfing in northern Michigan.
Great late season conditions
tees and greens were in mid-season shape. Greens rolled true. Great setup, very enjoyable round. Will play again soon.

After pulling up, I was greeted by RAY, a friendly dude with a very nice and clean GPS cart for me. The course is in GREAT condition. The fairways have a crisp line on the edges as well as the greens, tee boxes and fringes. Each cart had its own rake and I really appreciated that. I was lucky enough to get out alone and flew thourgh the track,, The GPS screen lets you know your pace so you have an idea of the time its taking to navigate such a pretty course. When it was all said and done, RAY was there again to take the cart for me. My only complaint was that i did not have cash to tip him (my fault). I drove an hour and a half and will do it again soon!

Only one advice Stay on the fairway.

If your ball rolls out even just edge of the fairway its gone. You’ll be looking down searching for your ball. Like a dog circling for a spot before pooing

Beautiful links style course
Great course, mostly links style, but with a few northern Michigan type holes with elevation and pines. Can't wait to play it again!

Always enjoyable round at Eagle Glen. Played in 3.5 hours so once was outstanding. Greens hold and roll nicely. Staff is always friendly.
A true mid-Michigan gem
I hadn't played Eagle Glen since 2023 so, I was pleased to see that the staff is continuing to invest and improve the course. The clubhouse had undergone a renovation since my last visit and it was very nicely done. The staff is SUPER friendly....I was a bit early for my hot deal tee time but the ranger asked if I would like to scoot out early since he had an opening at the time. As a follow-up, I played the course again yesterday (13AUG) in an outing and once again the staff was fantastic!
Fun course
I really enjoyed the course...I was the first one off the tee so can't really comment on pace of play...It looked like things were backing up on number 1 when I was finishing up around 10 am....That could have just been people getting there early for their tee time..The starter was there..
Course conditions were great and you can tell they are working hard to make it a nice experience...Staff was super friendly
I will definetly play here again..
