A pretty winter day. Photo submitted by geno929 on 01/20/2013
The course lends a feeling you are in an uninhabited area.
The weather conditions was chilly and windy and the course was sort of wet is probably the reason the greens were slow and didn't appear to have been mowed in the a.m. Other then that the course seem to be in good condition. The course is laid out and plays tougher then a par 70 to me.
great outing but the greens were not good.
Over all not bad except the greens were just aerated and you could not sink a put from any distance. I understand every course needs to do this every year but you should tell your customers ahead of time and not charge full price.
Great value for the $
It is coming along pretty good. Course still requires some more landscaping, maintenance, and better tee boxes.
I was 5 minutes early and had 2 sets of 3 waiting to tee off
slow,slow,slow,
I was 5 minutes early and still had 2 sets of 3 in front of me.
As you drive in you can see holes 10,11,12 and 13. One person
was teeing off on 10 with noone on 11,12,and 13 and they would not let me start at 10 so i had to wait for the 2 sets of three to tee off on hole # 1,very long day of golf . I usually can play 18 in 2 1/2 to 3 hours, not 5.
The greens and fairways were in good condition.
The course was maintained well and the facilities were good.
Great greens and collars.
Good course for the cash. I enjoy playing this course although lately it is very slow pace of play. I feel most people are playing tees too far back for their handicap.
Great course, good value, a must play!
From tee to green, all areas of this course are well maintained. The greens were spongy, smooth, and medium speed. A few times during the round on a 96 degree day, course maintenance came out to hose down areas that were greenish brown around the perimeter of the greens. They didn't get in the way though as they waited off to the side to do their work. Can tell they pride themselves on maintaining conditions. Can find good deals on tee times. One of the best values in the area. It's an above average course at below average prices.
GREAT TIME, GREAT PRICE, PACE OF PLAY WS SLOW, BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS AWESOME.
GREENS WERE NOT KEPT UP SO THEY WERE VERY SLOW. PACE OF PLAY WAS SLOW.
Great course for the price!
Course was in very good shape considering the heat over the last week. Greens were rolling true but were left a little long so they were slow, again, a heat issue. I will be going back again before the end of the season.
Decent enough course, shame that the other golfers were drunken bums
This course is in very good shape. It's a shame that the design could have been so much better and the other groups of golfers were very loud, vulgar and obnoxious. Is common courtesy too much to expect? If there was a marshal or two on the course, this wouldn't have been an issue. I hated my experience so much that I doubt that I would consider playing here again.
Great value and well kept
This course is fairly short but has some challenging holes. The course is very well kept - tee boxes, fairways and greens. The greens have been very slow, but consistent. I read reviews of how slow it plays, but I have not experienced this in multiple rounds.
Challenging and well maintained
The layout is challenging but manageable. It rewards straight hitters. The course is in good shape and damaged areas are getting attention, repair and maintenance. A bit pricey at full rates, but discounts are easy to find.
Great condition but almost deserted
We tee'd off at 8:30 am on a beautiful Tuesday morning and besides the twosome in front of us the place was almost deserted besides the staff that were mowing, raking the bunkers and fixing ball marks and divots. The course is in great shape and for the life of me, I don't know why the place wasn't jammed packed. This is the second time I have played here and the last time I played there was only a handful of players on the course.
The course is wide open and beautiful
This course has a lot of space and has gorgeous scenery. There is a good deal of wildlife on the course as well. We saw 2 huge tortoises in the water hazard on one of the holes. It takes a while to complete the course but it is well worth the money and very well maintained.
Good Course, Good Deal
Nice course, challenging layout with character. Reasonably priced. Not many sand bunkers, several water holes, especially on back side. Tough rough if your shots stray. The greens are slower than most courses, "spongy," but in good clean shape. You simply have to learn to hit your putts very firm or come up short. Simple clubhouse facilities and services.
One of my top five favorite local courses. Challenging yet fun to play.
Greens were especially soft today but it looks like they have had a lot of water lately. There were a couple of spots in fairways that were exceptionally wet but not a problem for play.
Nice layout of holes
#18 hole is challenging and unique! It's in a park like setting with wide fairways, some blind shots, and angle shots.
One of my favorites.
This is personally one of my favorite courses to play on a semi regular basis. The staff is super friendly, the scenery is amazing and the course is just all around fun to play. Golfnow discounts make this course incredibly affordable.
Challenging but fun course.
I've seen the greens in better condition, but all-in-all, not bad shape.
If you are close it is worth a play
I play here quite often because it is by my house. I never play at peak rates because quite frankly it would not be worth it. But at $20 to $25 it is not a bad deal.
It is normally in reasonably good shape and has some different holes. The front is mostly wooded and the back is more open. There is a lot of lay up golf. Many will not use their driver very often.
One thing everyone should know is that they keep their greens incredibly long. Unusually long. The longest greens I have ever played. It has been this way for the past two years. Some of my playing partners do not like the course for this reason.
The employees also discourage walking because of the distance between 9 and 10 and the course does not usually have many water coolers on the course. If you are only playing 9, try to start off 10. I think the holes on the back are much more enjoyable than the front.
