Well worth the price

The course is very well maintained, tee times were on the minute and play was as expected, even for a Sunday afternoon!

nice course,good service

guy that checked us in was very friendly and helpful, nothing worse than going to a course and they act like you are ruining their day by showing up. but this guy was very nice. carts were nice which is a plus. Played Meramec/Woodlands. Meramec is rather plain Jane,Woodlands is spectacular.both courses in good shape. teed off at 12:30 on a Sunday, no one in front of us,pace of play excellent. there are houses around, but don't come into play. could use a couple signs on some holes to direct you to next hole,a little confusing in a couple places

3 nines adds flexibility

A very well maintained layout with excellent amenities for a public access course. Tapawingo carries higher price points than average for greens fees and concessions, but delivers a country club level experience overall.

Very enjoyable

Scenic, fun-to-play course in very good condition even after several weeks of drought-like conditions. Staff was friendly and helpful in accommodating request to move up to earlier tee-time.

Good deal @ half-price.

Regular price is too high for a quirky course like the Woodlands.
Courses were in decent shape considering recent weather. Play was a little slow. New ownership shows and overall improvement in service, food and friendliness. If they just get more realistic with their pricing they'll get more traffic.

Lots of interesting holes

The course had 6 tee boxes, so easy to find a good distance. The course has several interesting holes, playing it before or getting a yardage book is advises. Overall, very well maintained, really enjoyed it!

Very well maintained

This course is very well maintained and has a great layout. The pace of play was a little slow it took 3 of us 5 hours to play 18. But it has beautiful scenery to look at while you are waiting. This is probably my favorite course to play in St. Louis.

Great place to play

Tapawingo is a terrific course. From the moment you arrive you are treated like a superstar. The clubhouse is beautiful and the course was immaculate. Pace of play was ideal as we never waited nor were we pushed. There are several memorable holes and there was a good balance of difficult holes followed by scoring holes. I just really enjoyed playing there, and I'll definitely be back.

Always in great shape

played the prairies and meremec nines at tapawingo. In a late afternoon round, nary a soul was on the course. As a twosome, we played 18 in less than three hours.

Plenty of birdies on the course as well as other wildlife (deer, turkey,...).

Tapawingo is always in great shape

All three nine hole courses are nice.

This course is in great condition. The tee boxes, fairways, greens are in pristine condition. The sand bunkers are filled with pretty coarse sand so don't expect Pebble Beach sand quality. Plenty of deer on the course as well. Get to the course well before your tee time and take advantage of the best practice area of any public course in St. Louis. Then, head up to the fabulous club house and have a grilled chicken sandwich (ask for the grilled peppers and onions also) and then hit the links. You will not regret it! btw, when hitting your approach shots, take an extra club!

Very nice course but packed

Tapawingo is one of the best courses in the STL area. The three distinct layouts are well maintained and interesting to play. The only negative is the course can play slow due to the number of players and lack of supervision. I did not see a marshall on the course. I've played it during less busy times and it was a great golf experience.
