Best Kept Secret
Not a challenging but a fun course in excellent shape
Always a pleasure playing this course. Staff always friendly and helpful and course always in good shape.
Course could be a lot better
The course is average length, but does have a number of short par 4's. Its best defense is the tall trees that protect the doglegs and fairways that provide for some really tight lies.
The conditions that were in play on the day that I was there were fair. Lots of clumps of grass left by the mowers, extremely brown fairways, and sand traps that were pretty much dirt/sand. The roughs were mowed low, but there was as much a chance that you would end up on a bare patch as grass. Most of the tee boxes were in very poor shape. Probably the most disappointing condition was the greens looked like they had been hit by a shot gun. i would fix four or five ball marks on each one.
The course does have its pluses. #8 is a straight dogleg right. The green is guarded by water so leaving yourself on the left side of the dogleg vs the right side is the difference between laying up vs. going for the green.
The greens role true, and the beauty of the course first thing in the morning is apparent.
It could be a nice course but has been let go burnt out and bare fairways lots of weeds. Greens ok. Was going to be our final round of our golf trip. Paid for 18 stopped at 8
Rolling Hills Country Club
Great country golf course. Always in good shape. One of our favorites when we stay at the Lake of the Ozarks. Rates are excellent
Love playing here
Pace is always decent and it’s a great layout for the price.
Nice day to play at Rolling Hills
Course was in good shape, and wasn’t crowded. Had a nice round of golf!
Greens rock hard but overall good round
Decent course north of the lake of the ozarks. Played in the morning, very few people on the course. This course is very flat and today was rock hard. Great iron shots were met with brutal greens they were rock hard and the ball just ran all day. The layout is good but no matter what we did the ball just ran all day. Laying up? The ball would roll off the back! Maybe due to lack of rain the area? Not sure but was a frustrating round for sure. Staff was friendly and good, I would like to play again when conditions were better
Great Course to Play
Played this course for the first time and was a really good course with just enough challenges to keep you guessing about club selection and whether to stick it or run it up. Had a great time and staff was extremely friendly. Small town course with small town values.
