Don't go on weekends!
Several issues with the course management, not the course itself. The course was in pretty good shape, the greens had some steep hills and made it tough to put.
My issue with the management was that we were stacked sometimes 4 groups deep at tee boxes. It took almost 3.5 hours to finish 9 holes, and I golfed solo! After the front 9 I went in to ask for a 9 hole rain check due to the slow rate of play, and he told me I should have known because it was the weekend. NO course should book themselves like that.
Also, they ran out of food before I could even check in at 12:30pm.

Too slow to be enjoyable
This course is not that long and not too challenging, so it shouldn’t take an hour and a half to play 4 holes. Not sure if it was one group holding everything up or if it was just too crowded that day, but our tee time was 11:06 and by 1 we had only played 5 holes and were the third group in line waiting to tee off on 6. We decided to cut our losses, turn around and go home.

Chilltop
I come here all the time. My game is improving and soon is like to buy a membership at this great golf course. I wish the twilight pass had a few other time slots you could select. Great local course, I recommend it for all skill levels.

Worst Pace of Play I’ve Ever Seen
DO NOT EVER PLAY THIS GOLF COURSE IF YOU CARE ABOUT PACE OF PLAY.
This course has a pretty good layout and is decently maintained, but it’s the worst-managed course in terms of pace of play that I’ve ever seen.
Last year, I played 18 holes, and after a 2 1/2-hour front nine, my foursome got to the 10th hole to find a six-some of women in front of us. When we complained, management told us it was the owner’s wife, and it was ok because they were playing a scramble and would let us play through if we “caught up to them.”
They had no one in front of them, and we waited for them on every tee box, resulting in a nearly 3-hour back nine. They never let us play through.
I reluctantly went again this past Monday afternoon, thinking it couldn’t be as bad on a Monday afternoon in March. I was wrong.
Our tee time was at 2:42. We got to the first tee at 2:38 to find 5 groups in front of us. The starter did nothing to check tee times or encourage pace of play. Before we teed off, the starter just left the first tee and didn’t return.
We teed off 20 minutes late, and it took over an hour to play 3 holes.
Our front nine took nearly 3 hours with no ranger anywhere to be found.
This course could have legit potential, with a tough layout that makes you think and strategize your shots. But waiting 10 minutes between almost every shot makes it unbearable.

Great piece of land, good conditions for March, great value, abysmal pace if play
Multiple slow singles and twosomes waiting at a tees together but not playing together, carrying in conversations when the fairway are open, and generally being oblivious to pace a play. Saw 1 ranger who made no effort to combine groups and educate them about a good place.
This is an great piece of land, a fun and interesting course, and a fair value. I'd play here regularly if the pace was reasonable. 3 hours for 9 holes is unacceptable. I usually walk 9 in under 1.5. I won't play here again unless I'm going off very early or the course is empty. Get a few rangers, educate the clients about proper pace, and you'll get more volume through easily paying for the extra rangers.
