Not worth it.
They decided to aerate the greens and not tell anyone, on top of that the greens are already a mess; they cover any bald spots up with sand which as you can imagine messes with how the ball bounces and rolls. Not awful but could be 10000% better if they tended to the course like any other course does

If you like waiting
Overbooked course, tee times don't matter here. 3 groups that had times after us started before us. At least 2 groups waiting on every tee box. Course management here is trash as well. Greens are like concrete and are tore up. If you miss the fairway at all your hitting off of dirt/clay. Don't waste your time coming here

Better shape than most
For the money this course is in beautiful condition and challenging. I wish I would have played here more this past summer.

Will not go back
Missed scheduled T time because carts were not available.
T times stacked too close together caused slow play.
Greens in poor condition.
Took 5 and 1/2 hours to play 18 holes. Marshals not controlling flow.
Course conditions were not great. Found ourselves hitting off dirt several times in fairways and greens were patchy and uneven in several spots.

Good course with some variation and fast greens
This was overall a fun course. Almost every hole layout was different which was great, besides the greens. Seemed like every one had a back to front slope and they were fast. Some tee boxes and greens were chewed up but that's expected for a course with such a great deal on the price.

Overbooked
The course is fine, but it was badly overbooked and the pace of play was slow. It took us over 3 hours to play 9 holes.

Short Course tough greens
Very short course, surrounded in trees, with some challenging greens. Realized quickly this is a good course to find golf balls as we waited for the guys in front of us to come out of the woods with golf balls on almost every shot. Good course to take a girlfriend/wife out on to play. Course is a bit drab in landscaping, but greens and fairways roll nice.

Very Poor Experience
As soon as you get in your cart, you know it’s going to be a long day. Wait on the first tee until nearly 20 minutes after booked tee time (which NO course should have 8 minute tee intervals, ESPECIALLY DURING COVID). The course was not in good condition, some greens were in awful shape. It did not look like any part of the course had been watered within the past month. Ground on the tee boxes were so hard, it was a struggle to get the tee into the ground. EXTREMELY slow pace of play. We only played 17 holes and it was STILL nearly 4.5 hours. All of this for $49, which is somehow more than most courses in Metro-Detroit. It shouldn’t be more than $20 to golf at Hilltop, period.

Good honest golf course
Nothing ‘tricked up’ here, and I love it that way. Small greens will test your short game - especially if you either short-side or high-side yourself.

Bad Experience
I wish the review would go lower than 1 star. Took over 3 hours to play 9 so we left after 9. Started 30 minutes late and a group of 70+ year old women were sent off before my group even though our tee time was earlier. Pace of play was a joke. Ranger just drove aimlessly around the course doing nothing about pace of play. If you want to play golf for 6 hours then this is the place to be.

Flag sticks
Overall great round. I was the first off the tee and the only complaint i have is that several (about 7 or so) of the flag sticks not been replaced after the greens had been cut causing my approach shots to be blind.

Played on Friday late afternoon, the course was not busy,, Had a good pace. Definitely value for the money.

Quirky
A quirky course not too long in length but tight with Severe steep greens lots of rough trees to lose your ball
