About
Lake Erie Metropark in Brownstown sits along the shoreline of its namesake lake. The location is a popular bird-watching spot with more than 300 species recorded. Golfers might catch a glimpse of a bald eagle and broad-wing hawk sightings are almost definite since the area is one of the best hawk-watching sites in North America. The golf course sprawls across gently rolling terrain and is routed through natural wetlands and forests. Towering trees line the fairways and water comes into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The golf course is a manageable 6,472 yards from the back tees. Lake Erie Metropark's challenges are mild enough for high handicappers but there are still some interesting holes that will keep the avid golfer entertained.

Looking Good
the course was in great shape, especially this late in the year. 18 Holes in 3 hrs 40 min.
Good Course
I love this course, good challenge, was a bit wet but now fault of course. Can't control mother nature
Metro Park Gem
I have played at the other Michigan Metropark courses and enjoyed them all. Unique layouts and usually very well maintained
But this was the first time I have played Erie and we loved it!
Beautiful course that was extremely well maintained. We look forward to playing it again

Not the course maintenance fault. Plenty of rain last few days. Otherwise well designed course.
Fun and unique course
The course will remind you of a Northern Michigan layout where the course was cut in and built around the trees and other natural features. It’s a fun and challenging course with a beautiful layout and pristine surrounding! I love playing here because the surroundings are so peaceful. If you are looking for a fun, beautiful, yet challenging course then you’ve found your next test! Have fun and enjoy your surroundings!
Typical Metro Park golf course
I wish the Metro Parks had rangers working on the course. I know they are supposed to, but I have played these courses over 30 times this year and only seen (1) ranger on the course the whole year. Pace would be better if they monitored play.

Needs some TLC
Fairways are nice, except the excessive amount of divots throughout. . The rough needs to be cut, lost a few balls due to unkept rough. Greens were ok, although a lot of divots on it. Rangers need to to move around course more to fix the fairway and greens divots, since the class of players they attract don’t tend to their own. I’d compare this course a shade worse then rouge park, although rouge is playing better this year then previous. Don’t pay more then 25 for this course.
