About
Lake Erie Metropark in Brownstown sits along the shoreline of its namesake lake. The location is a popular bird-watching spot with more than 300 species recorded. Golfers might catch a glimpse of a bald eagle and broad-wing hawk sightings are almost definite since the area is one of the best hawk-watching sites in North America. The golf course sprawls across gently rolling terrain and is routed through natural wetlands and forests. Towering trees line the fairways and water comes into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The golf course is a manageable 6,472 yards from the back tees. Lake Erie Metropark's challenges are mild enough for high handicappers but there are still some interesting holes that will keep the avid golfer entertained.

My go to course
Not far from the house and always in good condition. The staff is always will to work with you.
10 man bachelor party ruined pace of play for everyone
They allowed 10+ crappy golfers to play in the same group. Ranger rolled on by several times and didn’t even act phased. I love this course but nervous to come back if the manager makes terrible choices like this. Every golfer we ran into was ready to walk out for how ridiculous the pace was.
Course was great!
Loved the course but while we were on the 15th hole we were told to "pick up the pace". It was our first outing of the year with 4 people. We were already playing with a scramble/teams rule set to make sure we didn't hold anyone up. The team ahead of us "finished already" so that meant we were gonna get harrased. Not to mention there wasn't a soul behind us in sight. Course was great, but getting rushed off the course left a bad taste in my mouth. I'll go somewhere else next time.
Water
This is a beautiful course. Played it numerous times with dry conditions but if it rains the week of your round. Avoid it. Course drains very poorly, retains alottt of water. Greens were on beautiful condition for time of year. Tee times appeared to be stacked to close together. everyone seemed to be waiting on every hole.

Great value course. Pace was a bit slow today but usually plays at a good pace.
