Lake Erie Metropark Golf Course
About
Lake Erie Metropark in Brownstown sits along the shoreline of its namesake lake. The location is a popular bird-watching spot with more than 300 species recorded. Golfers might catch a glimpse of a bald eagle and broad-wing hawk sightings are almost definite since the area is one of the best hawk-watching sites in North America. The golf course sprawls across gently rolling terrain and is routed through natural wetlands and forests. Towering trees line the fairways and water comes into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The golf course is a manageable 6,472 yards from the back tees. Lake Erie Metropark's challenges are mild enough for high handicappers but there are still some interesting holes that will keep the avid golfer entertained.

Great Course to Play
Always a favorite of mine. Play at least 10 times a year. Great value and good course layout.
Great Challenging Course
Great Challenging Course tucked silently off of Lake Erie in South East Michigan. The course is challenging enough playing from the white tees but if you truly want to test your game, Play from the championship tees. Course management is a must and this course will test every aspect of your game from accuracy off the tees, approach play and putting. Greens we’re in great condition, except the ball marks/divots seemed a little excessive but I blame this on lazy golfers. Great scenic course as it is nestled in the woods. Reminds me of golf courses Up North. Great Practice facilities and friendly staff. I highly recommend this course to all skill levels.
Tips: Have GPS with you, as some shots are deceiving as far as distance and if your a long ball hitter, keep the driver in the bag. Accuracy is a must and the risk/reward hitting the driver definitely favors the risky side.
Slow and over booked
Play was beyond slow no rangers to keep the problems moving tee times all over the place
Wow
Challenging course with lots of hazards. Props to the superintendent and staff for shaping this place up. Excellent conditions tee to green. Will book this one again.
Beautiful
course was absolutely beautiful and greens had a great roll to them. I from Philadelphia and next time up I will play this course again
Very Fun
I like this course. I’m new to golf and I felt like the holes were somewhat easy for me because I only lost 6-8 balls on my 9 holes lol. I was worried about the people behind me rushing me and my wife. It felt like they were right on our heels and we were playing best ball. I think it was just them though because I saw them pack up real quick and leave when they were done. The staff was very nice. The only thing I can think of that can help the staff is a bigger sign that says where to park the used carts that need to be disinfected.
Nice Course
Enjoyed the corse, course was well maintained for being so early in the year! Very nice!
One of my favorite courses
Love playing this course! Played about ten times this summer and enjoyed each round. The greens and fairways are well kept and you will see an occasional deer, eagle and other critters. The only downside at this course is that it is too packed and play gets behind just about each time we played.
Great course
Fairways and greens are always in great condition.
Great experience and quick trip
Three of us made the two hour drive from Cleveland to Wayne Co, Michigan. We were not disappointed at all. The course was in excellent shape save for maybe a bunker or two. Greens were fabulous. Tee boxes were also in great condition. Staff was very friendly.
