About
Lake Erie Metropark in Brownstown sits along the shoreline of its namesake lake. The location is a popular bird-watching spot with more than 300 species recorded. Golfers might catch a glimpse of a bald eagle and broad-wing hawk sightings are almost definite since the area is one of the best hawk-watching sites in North America. The golf course sprawls across gently rolling terrain and is routed through natural wetlands and forests. Towering trees line the fairways and water comes into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The golf course is a manageable 6,472 yards from the back tees. Lake Erie Metropark's challenges are mild enough for high handicappers but there are still some interesting holes that will keep the avid golfer entertained.

Challenging course at a great price
This is a challenging course that twists and turns though some of the most beautiful wildlife preserve wetlands you'll find anywhere. But it won't cost you an arm and a leg!
Slow play, greens were firm ball bouncing way to much on approach shots, rough was in bad shape couldn’t find balls if in rough, no water on the course it’s 85 and sunny out, common man ……layout is nice, fairways are nice , cart paths are very bad need serious repairs

Pace of Play was not enough, so we had to wait for each hall. We expected for lake scene but could not see any. Course layout and overall conditions were good.
This course is not good
Bad staff, bad conditions, okay layout at best. Way too much money for how much it lacks.
Pace is awful
Left after 4 hours and only 13 holes because pace was so awful. No monitoring of pace, no pairing people together. A miserable experience. Do not go on a weekend or holiday unless you like 6 hour rounds. Weekdays it’s a good value and pace is ok.
Slow pace
Course was extremely wet. Cart path only slowed pace of play to a crawl.
Tee boxes and fairway conditions were the worst I've seen at this course. Hopefully the grass will improve in the next few months.
