About
Lake Erie Metropark in Brownstown sits along the shoreline of its namesake lake. The location is a popular bird-watching spot with more than 300 species recorded. Golfers might catch a glimpse of a bald eagle and broad-wing hawk sightings are almost definite since the area is one of the best hawk-watching sites in North America. The golf course sprawls across gently rolling terrain and is routed through natural wetlands and forests. Towering trees line the fairways and water comes into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The golf course is a manageable 6,472 yards from the back tees. Lake Erie Metropark's challenges are mild enough for high handicappers but there are still some interesting holes that will keep the avid golfer entertained.

Worth the ride.
The course is mostly flat with mature treed doglegs sprinkled around ponds and water features. Very nice visuals and great staff.
Was a gem
This course when newer must have been awesome, but it needs some work and I noticed many ball marks on greens. Old time feel and especially liked the ice cold water in Orange(10gal.?) coolers spaced throughout the course.(with paper funnel cups) Also stone built restrooms on each nine is always a plus. Quite a few holes where you need to make decisions to try and cut corners for closer second shots into the green, but trouble if you don’t accomplish the tee shot. Overall good course with some water and some marshy areas near greens.
This continues to be one of my favorite courses Downriver! Well-maintained, plus the wetlands it's built on make it a gorgeous course to play. It'll eat a box of balls too, if you're not careful. I love it here

Nice course and good value. It can be a bit slow play at times.

First time played the course. Greens and fairways were great. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would play again. Price was right.
Good round
The maintance staff is working hard to improve the conditions, and boy does it show... Nice Job!!!

Pretty straight forward course that was in nice condition in early June. Staff was super friendly.
A day of waiting
Our group showed up at 1210 for a 1224 tee time waited for 30 min just to get a golf cart that was reserved for us then hopped in line with multiple carts from other partys on every hole. Will not repeat took 6 hours for 18 holes. The weather was very nice tho..

Very nice golf course for the money. Greens and fairways were nice, some bunkers not so good.
Slow play too many times booked
I booked a tee time @6:08pm and it’s 6:45 and I’ve only played one whole, multiple groups waiting on every tee box! Embarrassing
