Lake Erie Metropark Golf Course

I have played this course several times but after the heavy rain a couple days before we played it was pretty bad. Since it was a Sunday the rough was longer than usual and very wet. The sand traps were basically unplayable. The price for twilight was very good and started at 4:00p.m., but the pace of play was so slow our threesome barely finished before dark at 9:00. Normally this is a very good course and very challenging, but beware! I wouldn’t recommend playing this one after a heavy rainstorm.

Hidden gem. Never too busy. Always enjoy playing here.

Great bang for your buck. Senior pricing is excellent. Course was in good condition and the staff very friendly.

This course is always in good shape. Has its challenges but is easy enough for a novice to not feel overwhelmed. It's built through a marsh so after a rain it can be pretty damp. Greens were rolling slow last time I played. I love that each hole is private from the rest. People aren't stealing your ball from other fairways. There are lots of water and trees so bring extra balls! Didn't have a beverage cart so make sure you get what you need at the clubhouse. Great selection of beverages to choose from. The hot dogs are great!

Decided it was too nice of a day to sit in front of a computer so I shut down, booked a t time & hit the course. Had a great time & found more balls than I lost. Always a good time playing at Lake Erie metro park, friendly staff, good carts in working condition, and course in good shape.

The course is mostly flat with mature treed doglegs sprinkled around ponds and water features. Very nice visuals and great staff.

This course when newer must have been awesome, but it needs some work and I noticed many ball marks on greens. Old time feel and especially liked the ice cold water in Orange(10gal.?) coolers spaced throughout the course.(with paper funnel cups) Also stone built restrooms on each nine is always a plus. Quite a few holes where you need to make decisions to try and cut corners for closer second shots into the green, but trouble if you don’t accomplish the tee shot. Overall good course with some water and some marshy areas near greens.

This continues to be one of my favorite courses Downriver! Well-maintained, plus the wetlands it's built on make it a gorgeous course to play. It'll eat a box of balls too, if you're not careful. I love it here

Nice course and good value. It can be a bit slow play at times.
