About
Lake Erie Metropark in Brownstown sits along the shoreline of its namesake lake. The location is a popular bird-watching spot with more than 300 species recorded. Golfers might catch a glimpse of a bald eagle and broad-wing hawk sightings are almost definite since the area is one of the best hawk-watching sites in North America. The golf course sprawls across gently rolling terrain and is routed through natural wetlands and forests. Towering trees line the fairways and water comes into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The golf course is a manageable 6,472 yards from the back tees. Lake Erie Metropark's challenges are mild enough for high handicappers but there are still some interesting holes that will keep the avid golfer entertained.

Due to time of year.
Mosquitoes were insane after 4pm. We came at the wrong time. Book early.
Great price
Course is in great shape bunkers are still flooded from the storms as of right now, but other than that there are no complaints. The lack of golf supplies and apparel is kind of a bummer in the club house.
Challenging greens
The greens are adulating. everyone, please fix your divot marks,
Exceptional Course & Value - Metro Parks Rock
Thank you for another wonderful golf outing. Course, conditions, staff were excellent. Michigan Metro Parks are second to none. One Happy Canadian Golfer always pleased and never dissapointed playing any one of the Metro Courses. 🇨🇦❤️
After a heavy rain!
I have played this course several times but after the heavy rain a couple days before we played it was pretty bad. Since it was a Sunday the rough was longer than usual and very wet. The sand traps were basically unplayable. The price for twilight was very good and started at 4:00p.m., but the pace of play was so slow our threesome barely finished before dark at 9:00. Normally this is a very good course and very challenging, but beware! I wouldn’t recommend playing this one after a heavy rainstorm.

Hidden gem. Never too busy. Always enjoy playing here.

Great bang for your buck. Senior pricing is excellent. Course was in good condition and the staff very friendly.
Great place to play!
This course is always in good shape. Has its challenges but is easy enough for a novice to not feel overwhelmed. It's built through a marsh so after a rain it can be pretty damp. Greens were rolling slow last time I played. I love that each hole is private from the rest. People aren't stealing your ball from other fairways. There are lots of water and trees so bring extra balls! Didn't have a beverage cart so make sure you get what you need at the clubhouse. Great selection of beverages to choose from. The hot dogs are great!
Mid day play
Decided it was too nice of a day to sit in front of a computer so I shut down, booked a t time & hit the course. Had a great time & found more balls than I lost. Always a good time playing at Lake Erie metro park, friendly staff, good carts in working condition, and course in good shape.
