About
Cherry Creek Golf Club winds through stands of mature oak, ash, and cherry trees. The rolling landscape is the perfect setting for a round, which has helped build the club's reputation as one of metro Detroit's premier public golf courses. Although it is a public course, the club offers the quality and amenities of a private club. The course is challenging but playable with four sets of tees that can accommodate all skill levels. The versatile layout is a popular option for tournaments and outings. In addition to the golf course, Cherry Creek's driving range and training area was ranked as the best practice facility in southeast Michigan. The facilities include a 50-station driving range with seven target greens of varying yardages, two putting greens, and three practice greens with bunkers.

The front nine greens were air plugged and sanded, the back nine greens were great!

Course was too wet to enjoy. Tee times improperly spaced, I asked group ahead and was told 6 minutes difference! Greens were recently aeriated and no information was given before hand. Also a wedding was being held and the clubhouse was off limits!
WORSE PACE OF PLAY IN MACOMB COUNTY
WORSE PACE OF PLAY IN MACOMB COUNTY! Expect at least a 5.5 to 6 hour round at Cherry Creek Golf Course. My tee time was at 2:45 but I decided to walk off the course on the 6th tee box at 4:50. That's almost a three hour pace for nine holes. Unacceptable. Clearly the pro shop was glad to take our money and get us off the first tee. But guess what waited for us on the Par 3 third hole--a backup of four groups. And the marshals? Yes they are on the course, but they didn't have the first idea how to move play along. I guess that's what you come to expect from Cherry Creek, ineffective staff and miserable pace of play. Book your tee times somewhere else! I know i will.
