One of eastern Nebraska's best
I enjoyed a splendid 18 holes of fall golf at Bay Hills. The course was in fine condition, the greens smooth and the layout very stimulating. The staff was friendly and the golf challenging. I consider this course to be equal to better known and more expensive courses. I recommend this course to anyone who seeks a long and wide course with numerous elevation changes, winding fairways and ample mature trees. Truly a golf feast!
For Plattsmouth, not bad
Course is spread out and no fairway is next to another. This requires drives and irons to be accurate. Great place to challenge golfer who often hits from neighboring fairway! A lot of elevation changes. Never think a hole is drivable.
lots of trees ,trees and more trees.
great value, challenging hole placements on greens.
GREENS WERE TERRIBLY UNFAIR
The course was not in bad condition but the greens are a joke.
They have lots of undulation which makes them challenging. When we played they must have been set at about 15 on stimpmeter. On several holes when you attempted a 15 foot putt up hill and missed it would then roll back down off the green. I believe this is why the round took us 5 hours+ to play because we weren't the only ones having problems.
never again
I will never ever play this course again! There are several holes that are of such poor design that a good shot may end up out of position. I also noticed a strong bias against golf now players which begs the question "why allow them if your going to treat them like second class golfers?" The pro shop is second in lack of common courtesy only to the folks at Indian Creek. At least when I leave Indian Creek I know I've played a nice and challenging course.
CAN'T BLAME IT ON THE COURSE
Over the Labor Day Weekend I was fortunate enough to be able to play two rounds of golf at Bay Hills. Just like always, the greens were challenging. But, they were in great shape and I must say, I can't blame it on the course that I couldn't hit a putt! Bay Hills is a great place to test your entire game...tee to green. Thanks for a great weekend
Economy Quarry Oaks
This is a very scenic course. Tree lined with a variety of tight doglegs. NE has been in a drought condition and the tee boxes, fairways and greens were well maintained. I was pleased to see that they did not water the roughs which made for some challenging shots as well as some considerable roll outs! I don't recommend walking unless you are in good shape. Lots of hills and long distances from green to tee. The clubhouse had a decent menu and the personnel were very cordial.
Awesome course and amazing staff!
Love this golf course. Will have to come back again!
Has quite a few difficult holes, especially for those that don't hit far off the tees.
Average value for the experience. During the week nearly always able to get a desired tee time.
Poor Course Management
Being in Omaha working, I've had the opportunity to play many of the courses here and have been quite pleased. We played Bay Hill and it was a disappointing experience. Bay Hill is a very "quirky" golf course. The greens were inconsistent at best, and the rough was penal only because it was very poorly maintained. The was no attempt by the pro shop to maintain pace of play at all. There were 2 of us ( 6 and a 12) and the course was overbooked, no attention was paid to keep groups moving and the pace proved to be brutal. Overall, during my stay here in Omaha, I won't be returning to Bay Hill.
Average Course
You get what you pay for. Is a cow pasture made golf course. Really dry hard dirt areas, others are drainage mud spots. Fairways need mowed as well as tee boxes. Place has potential but really knew what to expect for the price.
Good greens dead rough
I felt that the course layout was rather gimmicky. Sever 90 degree doglegs and one or two double ones. The course is rather narrow which is not inherently a bad thing but it is if the rough is mostly dead and rock hard underneath. But the greens and fairways are well maintained and the greens are actually quite challenging.
I loved the challenge of the course.
This was a fairly challenging course. It is very well maintained. I thought the greens could have been just a little better. I still highly recommend giving it a try though.
NOT a walking course...
You do not want to walk this course, most tee boxes are 200-300 yards from previous green and there are NO sources of drinking water anywhere on the course, something I had never seen before. Course was in decent shape and price was reasonable but not worth driving 30 minutes to play again.
difficult greens, poor staff
The man in the pro shop made 4 of us who used GolfNow play together as a 4-some even though there were no tee times within 45 minutes of us. We were all hoping to play separately but were told we had to play together. It was disappointing that we couldn't play on our own. I will not be back to Bay Hills.
Not good
I heard good things about this place from fellow golfers. They must not have been there in awhile because this place is not good at all. I don't think there is any maintenance on the course exept mowing the grass. The guy in the clubhouse seemed mad at me because I paid $15 for a round with a cart when the regular rate was $35+. It is definitely not a memorable place. I can remember every hole of every course I have played, except this one. The $15 I payed should be the regular rate.
Great course for the money
Great course for the money. Some challenging holes, with lots of doglegs. Well maintained fairways, ruffs, and the greens were very excellent.
tough course, but good value for the money
It was my first time playing bay hills, and i was surprised how challenging the course was. There are a lot of trees, and hitting off the fairway can lead to difficult 2nd shots. The greens were almost impossible to make on some holes. They were quick and broke more than they appeared.
Nice course
This is a fairly challenging course with lots of trees. Keep your ball in the fairway and you'll be fine. If you hit it into the trees you'll have a hard time finding your ball.
Great elevation changes
Was very surprised to find this course had some great elevation changes. Greens rolled true but were difficult. Had a lot of fun trying to play target golf. if your ball goes off course.. just take a drop.. your ball is lost. Really enjoyed it.. cant wait to play this course again.
