Pasture Golf for Mountain Sheep
The front nine has a layout without any design, just dropped tee boxes here and a green there, mostly unplayable lie. The back 9 has a little character. The greens are extremely grainy, dramatically effecting speed.
We traveled to the Omaha area to golf for a week. Called a month in advance, and the made my time right behind a Bachelor party, mostly non golfers of course. Ended up leaving on the fifth hole, but fortunately the 10th was open, and we played the back.
Skip this course, play Quarry Oaks or Indian Creek. Iron Horse has been recommended, but didn't play.
Nice course
Nice course that was in great shape and a good challenge. Need to play this course several times to know where to place your shots will definitely play again when I'm in the area
Great shape
Considering the recent rains, the course was in great shape and the greens were fantastic. Staff was very friendly and the pace of play was 3 hours and 15 mins. Watch out for the cicadas though!
Great track!
Great value for this challenging track. Lots of hills and valleys to create difficult shots. Beats the heck out of the ordinary neighborhood courses.
The leaves make you leave!
Played this course several times this year. One issue always comes up, slow play and no monitoring by the course itself. The people there generally live there and treat this course like a country club, that is, they act like they own the course. We have never been able to play through slow groups.
The leaves are so bad, both on the greens and the fareways that we lost several balls that were in the fareway.
Great course for the price
A short jot from downtown Omaha, this course is tight enough to make it difficult for any skill level, given it being fairly short even from the back tees. Good challenge and cannot beat the prices on golfnow
The surroundings are peaceful
This is my first year playing golf and i have been to about 7 different places and I keep going back to this specific course. Absolutely my favorite course so far.
Fabulous day
Bay Hills at Buccaneer Bay is a great course. Somewhat challenging and in very good condition, Staff was great and I went back and played 2 more times while in the area. I will try to play anytime I am in the area!!
great day of play
Very friendly staff the course was in the best shape I gave ever seen and the speed of play was great
Great Location
Bay Hills is a very nice course with hidden treasures. I really enjoy seeing the well-groomed course, wild life, rolling hills, and beautiful homes. Although the most challenging course of the several I golf in Omaha, I really enjoyed this one. I have golfed it during the Fall, and the leaves aren't so forgiving so bring extra golf balls.
Challenging course that makes you think
Uneven fairways and tough greens will make strategy necessary.
Great course
Driving range and putting green are ok. But the course is great! A set up that rewards bold decisions but penalize bad shots. Not a long course, I never hit driver, but requires accuracy. With tiny greens, and several that have heavy breaks it requires a good short game. If you haven't played this course you need to.
I would go there again
A wonderful place to play a round of golf. I would play here again. Staff was very helpful and friendly. It was worth my drive!
Bay Hills
The course is in good shape compared to a lot of area courses. Minimal winter kill but the pace of play was a little slow for a day that wasn't very busy.
Awful.
First of all I paid 14 dollars to PLAY 18 at this course, 15 dollars for my wife to ride along. Guy at front desk thought he was the greatest thing to walk this earth and very rude. The course is horrible, couldn't find one tee box without a giant slope. The only thing good about this place was the greens were somewhat in a decent condition. If you like hitting great off the tee and still having to hit on 90 degree angles for your second shot this is the place to play. Also the fairways were not mowed and as long as rough on most courses.
Total Impressed
Course was in excellent shape, greens were perfect no bad spots. Seemed like the mowing has been kept up, you can tell they have really been working on the course. Seems more open then years past. I will come out again for sure. Good place to get your game going, not easy just the way I like it.
