Ron Jaworski's Valleybrook Golf Club is one of South Jersey's most popular public courses. It's a local favorite not only because of the affordable rates but also for the challenging design. The diverse terrain provides the classic layout with a mix of flat and hilly holes. On some holes you can expect elevation changes from tee to green. It's a golf course that will keep you on your toes. It will test your accuracy with its narrow, tree-lined fairways and the elevation changes throughout the course make proper club selection essential. Water hazards also appear on nine occasions. The course has appeal for players of all skill levels. It's player-friendly enough for beginners while advanced players will enjoy the many risk-reward opportunities. There is also a driving range available at Valleybrook Golf Club.

I'll be back (as Arnold would say)

First time. I found this course to be better than some of the negative reviews. Enjoyed my 18 holes of golf. Staff was friendly. I work at a golf course in Burl Co I like to treat the customer with a smile and try to make their play enjoyable; I found this staff to be that way. I will be playing this course again in the next couple of weeks.

You need 6 hours to play this course!

Was excited to play Jaws course, even after reading the reviews that pace was slow. That is an overstatement. We were 15 minutes late even teeing off (no golf carts available). Pace is non-existent. After 2 hours 45 min, we finished the front nine and gave it up. When we asked the starter about a Marshall, he said what Marshall??

Course was in nice shape, and like many municipal courses, playable by anyone - and anyone was out there - lots of folks who appeared to play golf a couple times a year. Certainly a hang-out for the locals, to the point where we felt quite out of place.

If you have time to kill and love lot's of recovery time between holes, this is the course for you!

2.5 hrs for 5 holes

Took 2.5 hours to get through 5 holes. Pro shop does not communicate with Starter. 40 min behind for start time-I only found this it after I paid.

I ended up leaving after 5. I spend more time waiting then playing golf.

Course was not great either.

Pace of play is so terrible

Played a twosome with my Dad and teed off at 240. There was at least a 10-15 minute backup on each and every hole. Our round that should of taken around 3 hours took 5 and you couldn't even get into a rhythm there was such a long wait between holes.

Very nice course

Fairways were in good shape as well as greens. Greens needed mowing but it is still spring. Tee boxes were airated but still in good shape.
Paid discounted price and it was worth it, had I paid full price I might have been more critical

Crowded Out, A Pleasure In

First time playing Valleybrook yesterday. A buddy of mine & myself decided to give it a go after having an absolutely terrible experience at another Ron Jaworski course (Riverwinds) a few years ago. That course was a sure fire 5.5 hour round for 3 golfers. We swore we would never go to another Jaworski managed course but couldn't pass up the great deal for Valleybrook on the best weather day for golf so far in 2015.

When we arrived, the course was packed. We had an afternoon tee time but it was a Monday so didn't think it would be as busy as it was. When we arrived, the clubhouse was crowded and we noticed 4+ carts on each hole. Not exactly a pleasant sight considering our previous experience. The guy in the pro shop did not even have enough carts to give us one so we had to wait a bit to even get loaded up. We hit the range and then headed out. Despite the fact that there were guys-- I assume regulars-- who were trying to butt out without a tee time, we grabbed our bags and headed to the tee. We teed off right on time, however if you are not aggressive, you may end up getting stuck behind guys that just go out when they please. The course itself was very poorly managed from a tee time standpoint. There was a two some ahead of us that we asked if they wanted to play together to speed up play, they declined. In front of them was another two some and in front of them was a group of 5. Behind us was a single walker. Held up the pace significantly on the front 9. Took us almost 2.5 hours to play the front with this pace. We waited for a good 5-10 minutes on every single tee box. The ranger drove around regularly but could not do anything to help us out. He stated they do tee times every 8 minutes (which I personally think is closer to 5) so there was literally no where to move us. We got lucky and 3 groups quit after nine so the back opened up and we played in less than 2 hours so it ended up being a 4 hour round for us, which was about what we expected.

The course plays quite easy from the white tees. Not very long at all and most holes will leave you a wedge or 9 iron in if you are just 220-240 yards out into the fairway. Greens played quicker than anticipated even though it looks like they were just aerated within the last couple weeks. Couple holes on the back nine force you to hit irons off the tee and play conservative golf. The par 5's are all birdie holes and most golfers should probably be able to get there in two if you hit a decent drive.

Overall, it was exactly as expected. A lot of golfers crammed into a small space that made for an extremely trying front nine. If you go in with the frame of mind that you can be on the course anywhere from four to five & a half hours, then go for it. Pack some beer would be my recommendation. If you can get a tee time for earlier in the day for less than the $25, I would say it is worth a play. If you play after 2, I think you would be hard pressed to get your round in. I played well here, so for that reason alone -- I will probably be back at some point.

very worn facility

The overall conditions were poor probably from overuse. The water hazards were pretty hideous looking, there was no on course facilities, no one to check us out when done. The long wait for every shot made for a very uneven playing experience.

Good course, but need more organization

I have played here before, challenging, in good shape. However on a gorgeous day for golf on a Saturday there was no starter. So we teed off when we were supposed too. The entire round we had these 4
Older gentleman riding up on us on ever hole. Hitting into us, yelling on the green next to the tee box. We had a 4-some and so did they. They were yelling while we're on the green on the par 3 and they're on the tee box. Unreal, then they must be regulars there because on the 14th hole 3 hours into our round the ranger comes up to us and asks if we can pick it up. Meanwhile on the 15th hole the people in front of us were teeing off. Clearly they knew the guy and called and Complained and instead of asking us what had happened, he just assumed. I like the course played about 5 times but left a bad taste in my mouth, don't know if I will be back for a while.

Lightning fast greens

Course is very interesting, elevation changes, long par 3s, short par 4s that demand accuracy, second shots into greens were difficult because greens were very fast. two putts on those greens was an excellent result. For a course in NJ with wonderful scenery although there are a lot of houses they don't come into play. Had dinner after at Riley's pub was also very good. altogether great time.

Can't beat the value.

To be able to play 18 holes on December the 29th in the North East is a beautiful thing. So, that being said -- $35 including the cart. Course was actually in very good shape, except for a good amount of divots on the greens. That always kills me -- I am so proud of those moments when I actually hit the green. I look forward to the walk up the green to fix that divot .. but I digress. Staff was on point, beers were cold. I would certainly recommend this track.

Valleybrook Golf Course

This course played very fair to me. I enjoyed the layout since it was designed by Ron Jaworski himself with the two of his courses I have been to so far are outstanding! The only problem for me personally it was very hilly but other then that the layout was outstanding. Very good course!

Never again on a Saturday!

I golf at this course occasionally and enjoy it but this past weekend we got a great deal with a tee off at 12:48. We walked up ten minutes early to find two carts sitting on the first hole waiting AND three sets ahead of us waiting for a cart. There weren't any left! I've never seen this before anywhere. We finally did tee off.....at 1:25. It was just the two of us but we did have to wait at every hole and just about every shot because it was so backed up. We returned at 5:30 after only finishing 15 holes. 4 hours for 2 people is just ridiculous. I'm glad I got a deal but feel sorry for everyone else there that didn't.
