Slow greens
Over all the was great shape. They keep the greens grass a bit long so there rather slow. It took a few holes till I got speed right.
Great value
The course was in great shape. Staff were very friendly. This is not a long course, but a good course and a great deal for the cost.
Very fun!!
This was my first time here and I must say I was impressed for a county run course. Staff was very friendly and although it's a small course I found it alot of fun. Definitely won't get much use out of your driver here with all the par 3's, with a cart I finished up just over three hours. Will be returning again!!
Very good for the price
I just began playing golf in December and this course has taught me a lot about my game. The holes are well designed however they are not as wide as traditional par 72 courses. The greens need some upkeep occasionally but most of the time they are very nice. The course is very good especially for the price.
Tight course
Had a great day.. weather wise.. tight course had to play shot and in between tree lines.. will play again..
Great Value, fun course
The course is good. No par 5s and mostly par 3s, but that can be expected from a short course. It's fun, greens and fairways are well maintained considering it's the middle of the winter. Staff are extremely helpful and nice people. Course has some challenges like small greens and surrounding bunkers.
Cons:
1) tee times weren't true to time. Now I will say it's was a random nice day in the winter so everyone was coming out so I won't complain to much, plus one of the staff let my group start on the back 9 so it helped a lot
2) no alcohol which also can be expected from some courses
Cons really aren't cons just preferences. I would recommend
Nice little course
Forge Pond is a short, executive course. But, don't let the yardage fool you. Some of the fairways can be tight. If you go into the woods, you will likely lose your ball in the leaves and pine straw. Water only comes into play on 2 holes. Strategically placed bunkers and sharp dog legs make for interesting shot and club selection. Undulating greens can be tricky, especially in certain cup locations. long distance from holes 2 to 3 and again from holes 7 to 8 make this course less than optimal for walking. Played the course on a windy fall day, so there was a lot of debris and leaves on the course, which made finding the ball difficult at times. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all in very good shape, considering the time of year we played. Nice course, especially for a municipal venue. Enjoyable day. Will return.
