Great Value!
The course is a great value especially with the current winter rates, $30 with a cart on a Saturday morning is hard to beat! The course is in great shape for January, although it doesn’t drain very well so if there’s a lot of rain the night before prepare for soaked conditions. Staff friendly and helpful. Some fun holes and not super challenging, they have a full size driving range to warm up too. Will definitely play again!
Great course
Course is in great condition. Pace of play was good for a crowded day. Will be my winter go to course.
Delays handled poorly
I understand there is nothing a course can do when they have to do a frost delay, but this is the second time they told me my tee time was delayed an hour and after I came back at the new time they tell me I’m late. If you tell me my 1pm tee time has been pushed back to 2pm I’m not going to come back to the starter every 5 minutes to see if the hour delay has magically disappeared. They also ran out of carts so we had to wait even longer to start.
But once you get started the course is nice. Greens and fairways in great shape for the winter. Pace of play on crowded day is slow but that’s expected anywhere.
We arrived prior to our tee time of 11 AM today. We were informed that the course was closed due to the snow storm on the weekend and the snow was still on the ground. I drove 40 miles form south of the course and there was no snow on the ground until a few miles from the course.
We were disappointed that we were not informed of the closure and that Golf Now who handles their bookings should have informed us.
I also requested that our $4.98 booking fee be refunded. They told me that I would have to check with Golf now.
MY reservtion was at Cream Ridge in NJ at 11 AM Wednesday the 23rd. The booking fee should be refunded as the course was closed at the time of tee reservation AND IT was also closed at the time of our booking on Monday
Very tough
Starter seemed like a really nice guy. Pace of play (with no frost delay) was abysmal. 3 hours and 10 minutes to play NINE HOLES.
Played this course for years, but it’s been several years since I’ve played it. New management has done an excellent job with the greens. Great shape and they roll nicely. The fairways are in good shape for the most part. The bunkers need some work and the cart paths definitely need some work. It’s obvious they have put their money into the greens. I believe based on that they’ll continue to upgrade. Course is packed on weekends and the play is slow. I enjoy the course and will continue to play Cream Ridge GC.
All kinds of problems
Arrived at 130p to check in for a 2p 9 hole reservation....learned they were running 35-45 minutes behind schedule....makes no sense to start at 235-245p when sunset at this time of the year is 442p....in addition watched them “sanitize” about 10-13 golf carts...this consisted of using a leaf blower and replacing score cards on the wheel...the place is totally disorganized, so I left and am expecting a full refund from Golfnow...
