Nice course wet from the heavy rain but tee boxes and greens were in good shape and the price was right.. would play. It again
Very Good Course, Nice Layout
I play 20-25 rounds yr at Cream Ridge GC. Normally pace of play is OK but this day was an exception, very, very slow..
In early spring this course needed work especially the greens. Happy to say they put in the work and it shows. Greens roll well and the fairways and tee boxes are in good shape. They also put in an extensive drainage project on some of the fairways and it worked.
The golf staff is friendly and accommodating in spite of being shorthanded at times. The restaurant staff is just great, bartenders, waitresses all of them and the food is good.
PG Vin
Enjoyed our round even though the course was wet from previous downpour! Course otherwise in very good shape. Pace of play was very good. Will go back!
Great course
Awesome course. Gorgeous layout, mix of average and challenging holes. Greens were in great shape. Great value.
Great day
Very nice day. Course was in good condition
Will be back. Happy hour at the roost is always a great way to end a round of golf. Will be back
Cream Ridge: Pleasant Surprise
My friends and I recently returned to this course for the first time in over 10 years and enjoyed our afternoon. For 55 dollars for greens fees and cart on a Saturday morning, it was hard to beat the value. The restaurant, bar and food were top notch; and the people were very friendly and professional. I have two points about the course. First, obviously, there are several discrete areas in need of major TLC; that goes without saying. However, this course has great bones, with substantial ups and downs, numerous tee shot windows and is frankly on a beautiful piece of land with no buildings. We’ll be back.
A Nice Leisurely 9
The staff was very friendly, we didn’t feel rushed and we were able to enjoy our time playing the great game of golf.
Maybe
This course has been great and horrible in the past 10 years. Now it is seaming they are not sure which way to go. The fairways were great. The greens were good. Unfortunately I did get to spend some time in the rough and there were some rough patches. There was no ranger or starter causing groups to link up during the round and play was a little to the slow side. Also no ball washers. When I play I like to have clean balls. Just something I learned as a kid.
Great value
We played the course for $38 on a Saturday at 11 (golfnow hot deal). The course has a nice layout, with hills and water (a lot of holes are very straight, but there are enough other differences to keep it interesting). It was in good shape. The pace felt a little slow, but we still finished in under four and a half hours. Definitely going to play there again.
The course should be closed for play
I used to play this course the first 12 years I moved to the region. It was a well taken care at all times. The day I played (4/18/19) the course was just about unplayable from the patchy fairways (if you can call them that) to the in mowed and bald-spotted rough and to the blotchy bumpy and lumpy ...dare I say, "greens". I played nine ten holes and couldn't take it any longer. part of the reason was that it took three hours to play the first nine. i would have been better off going to a driving range. One of the other players told me that the last owner recently lost his bid (The State leases the property) He told me that the last owner stopped taking care of the course when he knew he wouldn't be responsible for the landscaping much longer. That other player lived next door to Cream Ridge. He only came out to practice for 9 holes before going to work.
Then there was the green fee. Golf Now charged me $0 as a senior. But that's what the course charges anyway. What was the advantage to book the round through them?
Crappy conditions
They should pay us to play on the golf course. Greens were horrendous, ball would pop up 2-3”s on putts. Mud everywhere and a total lousy condition of the course .Will not see me there again
Challenging Round
Played this course as a single today, just warm enough to be comfortable. It was surprising how green it was for late March and the front nine greens weee starting to recover from aeration last week ? Hole 9 , a long par 5 was a complete mess but pkayable if your shots avoided all the ground under repair. One temp green on the back 9 making a 100 yard par 3. Most of the greens on the back were completely unputtable but overall it was a frrat value for the fees charges. I play this course with a league in the summer so this was a great refresher roung. A good day regardless!
Early
Like the course but after way too much rain the condition is not there yet. The greens were just aerated and some ground repair was in the works. Been playing there for years and the course will be ready soon. It's excellent for the money.
Terrible conditions
Boring course layout—lots of dead straight, open fairways (not that I hit many of them, but no interesting features). Didn’t warn us that the greens had recently been aerated, and beyond that they were in absolutely deplorable condition, even for March. Wasn’t even worth trying to putt as the ball spent more time in the air than rolling. Maybe it’s an ok course in summer, but definitely not going back unless I can find a hot deal for less than $20.
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL
Don't waste your time.
Not even worth $8
Disappointed
Course is in poor condition. One hole was completely closed. One tee box was closed. Four greens were unplayable. Very wet and sloppy conditions. Carts were dirty. Course should have been closed or at least golfers should have been informed about conditions before booking.
What a rebound
Played Cream Ridge earlier this year and in no way believed this could be the same course now that we're in may. Tee boxes look immaculate. Greens that were for all intents and purposes 'shot' have recovered (the 10th being the real test). Gone are the 4 foot deep trenches dig across the fairways. Modern drainage systems can be seen throughout. The management has really committed to this track. Fairways and rough are lush and green.
The Ridge really is back. Thank goodness.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
I think being charged $0 is pretty good. Just sayin.
