Golfer Reviews
Complete Garbage
Labor Day played here with family for a holiday round. Greens were OK, Fairways were completely dead. It was like trying to hit a shot off of a parking lot. We were told the course was just renovated so were expecting much nicer conditions. Do not recommend.
Terrible
The course was just redone not long ago and the fairways were absolutely horrendous. The greens were beat up. The only nice thing about the course was the tee boxes
Terrible conditions
For a new course that is a year old, many fairways were unplayable with mud/ dried dirt spots. No comments on construction that is going on, can not change that. No excuse for how poorly the course was being maintained.
COURSE IS IN DISREPAIR
Very Poor Course Quality
Played the west course numerous times and was excited to finally get a chance to play the east course. Disappointed is an absolute understatement. Quality of the course was horrible especially given its very recent renovation.
A million dollars?
Middlesex county spent millions of dollars on the renovation of this course and in 8 months it has been destroyed. Being a middlesex county resident, I played this course from December to June with no issues. Actually it was in immaculate shape. How does something like this happen in 2 months?
Course renovating- would not recommend
I saw bad reviews but couldn’t believe a course could be that bad, fairways on every hole was in shambles, marked for renovations but we did not know this before booking. The greens were actually immaculate for the most part, couple of dead spots but fairways were unplayable
Ehhh
Course is okay
Some fairways are pretty beat up (lots of dirt patches)
Layout is pretty simple and straight forward
Not really any cool holes
Range is closed during the week (that’s lame)
Course is not worth $72 should be $50
They have a grill going and hott chicks working there so that’s a plus
Nice little chipping area and putting green too
Well that was disappointing
It didn’t take long for this course to go downhill. Played there about 3-4x since April and was impressed with the renovation. Nicely manicured tee boxes fairways and greens. Now, it looks like they’re neglecting them and focusing only on the renovation of the west course. Tons of dirt patches in all of the fairways. Unrepaired ball marks on all of the greens. They were even doing construction on 9 and 10 in the middle of the fairway, aerating fairways and laying down fertilizer. Seriously unacceptable. Should’ve shut the course down for the day with all of this going on. And to boot, no notice given upon booking, no notice from the pro shop and no notice from the starter. Such a fun little course quickly turned into a dump. Very very disappointing
Course
Fairways and greens are torn up, the tee boxes however are in good condition
Disappointed
Very disappointed in the overall condition of the fairways. On a lot of the holes, there was no grass in the fairways, only mud and dirt.
This course is destroyed
I don't understand how after spending millions of dollars to renovate this course the management company has let it collapse like that. It was in good shape at the beginning of the season but, thanks to a combination of mowing the fairways way too short and people not respecting cart rules, it's now in a dismal condition. What a shame...
Some Things Never Change
In one word, Yikes! Played here many times many years ago. The tee boxes and traps are better, but the fairways and greens are chewed up. They put some effort into a renovation but only to see it slip into disrepair once again. WAY OVERPRICED, and you do not get what you payed for. So many better courses to choose from for less money.
Should not ever be a dollar over $50 with cart. Sorry for being harsh, but I was really disappointed.
Worst Course I Ever Played
This place is a dogtrack. The fairways are atrocious. Mostly dirt and very green. The greens have so much sand your balls kicks up sand behind it. Won't play this again until it's fixed.
There is a lot of construction going on so maybe will get better but won't be for couple years.
Better than before but...
I started playing this course at the beginning of the season. The course was in great shape and the renovations were really on display. Unfortunately, things have declined substantially since then. To be fair, the diluvian rains we've had in the past weeks have a lot to do with it. However, it's not the all story. People not respecting the cart paths only or the 90 degree rule are also to blame. So here are two suggestions: when it rains more than one inch, just make the course walking only, at least for a day or two. Rutgers does it and their course remains in great shape year round. Second, don't mow the fairways too short. That's definitely been the case and there are now some ugly bald spots. If something is not done soon to correct the situation, I'm afraid the course's conditions are only going to worsen.
