West at Tamarack Golf Course

I played this course 1-2 times a year over the last 3 years with a friend that lives locally. I’m a CT resident and play a lot of courseS in the upper Westchester / Danbury area that are considered some of the nicer course in the states. I must say I’ve seen a nice improvement in the quality of the course over the last year. Definitely a improvement of the greens this season not to fast and not super sticky. Hopefully they continue the upkeep. Looking forward to playing another round this season.

The course isn’t in top shape yet , but that’s tone expected. The pace is very good. The layout is good and challenging

I have been playing tamarack for quite some time and I can’t stress enough how pleased I am with the improvements they have been making. The greens on the west course were putting true and quicker than last year. The course has always been wet in the past but there appears to have been large drains put in all over the course to combat this. Fairways were lush and set my ball up perfectly for approach shots. Check this course out!

Everything went according to schedule, teed off on time. Was never pushed by twosome behind us. Course was in ok shape, putting a lot of sod down. Greens need work, it’s a good weekday course to fine tune ur game.

Greens were fast, fairways were very well cut, and the westward 9 cup walk, with a temperature of 84 degrees was wonderful. I wasn't in a hurry, so I stopped to watch a family with two children behind me for a moment. The day and the fringes on the green were so beautiful, that the children were literally rolling down the short hill of the green, green grass-feeling joyful. It was getting late so I allowed the family to play through. Afterwards, I drove a great shot from the blue to the fairway. Wow, what a great day at Tamarack.

Tons of improvements. The course is really coming around.

Greens and a few spots were a little rough, but overall very pleased. Staff did a good job given all cyber current restrictions due to the virus. Pace of play was very good.

Played four days before this and greens were very slow. Yesterday they were better. Tees and fairways are good, still strange playing as a two ball.

It appears they are trying. The greens were slow due to previous heavy sanding. Once the grass starts growing a roller and a nice cut would be ideal.
