Opened in 1929, Old Orchard Country Club has a classic design with challenges that stand up to modern golf courses. Throughout the course, you'll see traces of the site's former use as a farm. Ancient apple trees from the original orchard frame many of the holes. The diverse layout will test you with a variety of different shots but the gently rolling terrain makes for an easy walk. Skill and strategy will be generously rewarded but it's not an overly punishing layout for the high handicapper. Old Orchard's greens play true and fast and they are often flanked with strategically positioned bunkers. A stream wanders through the golf course, coming into play on several holes. Golfers will face a tricky island green on the par-5 seventh hole as well as an almost-island green on the par-4 13th.

Average course. Too much money for what it is
The greens have “speed bumps” and are not well maintained. I get that it’s early in the season, but there are no fairways whatsoever. It feels like you’re playing in an open grass field. You can’t even see the distinction between the fairway and the rough. There are better courses available for the same price or cheaper

Could have been better
Course, particularly sand traps badly need TLC. Gold card was dirty. By the end of 25 battery was dead. We pushed the cart to 16th tee box and called desk. They promised to send a replacement out immediately. We let 2 groups pass and finally put our bags over our shoulders and walked leaving cart there. Terrible service

Presidents’ Day golf
Great weather, course packed, but staff did a good job getting us out on time. Finished in 4 and a half hrs. Course was surprisingly dry for February. Tee boxes, fairways and traps in good shape. Greens were in mid-winter mode, but what can you expect. Just happy to be playing. Very enjoyable day.

Most of course frozen, but greens were very playable. Not frozen in the afternoon and remarkably smooth.

Not too shabby
Greens were a little rough but what can you expect for middle of January. My cart died on me at the third hole and they drove out a new one to me immediately. Guy in the shop was super friendly even with how busy he was being the only one there. Definitely looking forward to playing this course again but in warmer weather!
