Old Orchard Country Club

I felt like I just played a round in a post apocalyptic world , where lawnmowers do not exist. They didnt even bother setting up the tee markers , laughable effort.

The course has a lot of potential but needs a lot of work greens need grass the tee boxes were all air raided there was no fringe on any of the wholes cups were cut bad Could not tell the difference between the fairway and the rough

Paid $70 to play Sunday morning and it’s a ripoff. The course is in very bad condition. Greens have lots of dirt patches on them, the rough in many places was not mowed at all and over a foot long. Also many grass clippings were dumped all over making it impossible to find your ball. Don’t waste your money

Without a doubt this course is a waste of money. The conditions on this course are horrible. Lawn mower shavings are left in the fairway. If you want to lose balls in the fairway go ahead and play this course. Felt like I was playing out of the rough when I was in the fairway. The course should be half price or close down and fix the course conditions

The tee boxes are mud. The fairways aren’t mowed. The greens are ok. Branches and leaves all over the course. The price is a robbery for what you are getting.

Greens have not been mowed or rolled. Fairways need to be mowed.

Layout is classic early 20th century A.W. Tillinghast with picaresque par 3s and lots of bunkers.

I had read really bad reviews and good ones so did not know what to expect. Not a lot to do these days with the virus restrictions, so golf is a good diversion. We had a pleasant afternoon on a course that could use work but it is public and I have played some really bad ones in the last month. This is not the case. I can't speak to the conditions in the rough (yes, I am a woman who plays down the center) but my partner did not seem to complain. The bunkers were for for the most part in good condition and the greens were what I expected - could be faster. The paths could use some work but they don't interfere with play and I would rather have the crew focus on the greens and fairways. Food was fine at the halfway house - love the hotdogs.

Man I don’t know if someone took over the course or what but this course use to be amazing. Now it’s absolute trash. Weeds everywhere , slow greens just crap. It’s sooooo bad now what happened ? It looks like they just cut occasionally and do zero maintenance. Not to mention they charge you the cost of colts neck or eagle ridge . It’s appalling. I will never play here again. What a waste

Hadn’t played it in a few years, horrible conditions on tee boxes, greens , everything! Total waste of money! They need to put time and money into it . It’s a shame it used to be very nice .

Looks like owner wants to get out or going bankrupt!

Sprinklers where running with busted heads and made 4 greens turn into lakes. Totally unputtable and could not put up real scores. Not worth $10 round. Don’t waste your money play somewhere else!

As we were leaving the course after playing 18 holes, one of my wiseguy golf buddies yelled to some of the course staff who were sitting outside by the clubhouse, "I don't care what the course reviews say, those last two greens were well maintained!" They replied "Well you should write that up in a review!". So here it is. Irony is lost on some people.

Played Old Orchard Country Club for the first time this weekend, and had a very pleasant round. The course offered everything you look for in a public course, friendly staff, smooth fairways, and challenging holes. The pace of play was good, and the fellow golfers on the course all seemed to be having a good time. The island green on the par 5 7th hole was my personal favorite part of the course, and I look forward to playing my next round at Old Orchard in the very near future.

I throughly enjoyed my round at Old Orchard. It was my first time there, and I found the courses conditions to be favorable. Greens were rolled well and were fast, and the fairways were cut well. Staff was very kind and helpful. Clubhouse was clean and comfortable. Will be sure to play another round at Old Orchard soon.

This was my first time playing this course in a couple weeks, the conditions continue to improve week after week. Great greens, the fairways and roughs were cut well. And the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely wont be my last time playing here, planning on getting a tee time for next weekend!

As always I had a great time playing old orchard this weekend. It was my first time there in a few weeks and the conditions of the course continue to improve every time I’m there. The fairways were cut well and the greens were rolling nice. The rough was also well cut, I never had a problem finding my ball. I also always appreciate how kind and helpful the staff is. This definitely will not be my last time playing there this summer and I can’t wait to go back!

Course is in terrible condition. Probably last round ever there. Not a course snob but this is absolutely awful especially for the cost.

Clumps of grass all over lost 3 balls in it dirt patches on greens. Would not go back if it was free. I live 2 miles from course have never played before. Only morning tee time available within 25 miles
