Opened in 1929, Old Orchard Country Club has a classic design with challenges that stand up to modern golf courses. Throughout the course, you'll see traces of the site's former use as a farm. Ancient apple trees from the original orchard frame many of the holes. The diverse layout will test you with a variety of different shots but the gently rolling terrain makes for an easy walk. Skill and strategy will be generously rewarded but it's not an overly punishing layout for the high handicapper. Old Orchard's greens play true and fast and they are often flanked with strategically positioned bunkers. A stream wanders through the golf course, coming into play on several holes. Golfers will face a tricky island green on the par-5 seventh hole as well as an almost-island green on the par-4 13th.

Old Orchard Country Club
Interesting layout, course was in poor shape, greens quite slow, very few bunkers with sand, some fairways were in rough shape.
For the money this was not a good value but it was an enjoyable course that has potential if it was kept in decent shape. No idea how they get away with charging $80...conditions were well below a decent muni course. No rangers, pace of play was 5 hours...
Terrible management
This golf course is managed terribly. The owner should get on a golf cart and take a look at his own golf course, because it is ridiculous how such an ideal location for a golf course is just forgotten and no care besides for one guy who drives around with his dog . They need to actually maintain it like a golf course. Pace of play is good because everyone knows it’s a below average golf course so not that many people go there. I mean if this guy payed well, I’ll even hop on a mower and just go around the course for him everyday.

Played at Old Orchard Country Club the other day and I was beyond impressed by the conditions of the course. The fairways were cut and the greens have been well kept. I cannot wait to play here again soon!

Definitely recommend playing here
I played old orchard for my first time this season and was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course. As someone who has been playing the there for years, the course was right on the brink of being in just as good of shape as you’d expect in years past. I was also told they have been watering everyday and it shows. The fairways are a little long but that has always been part of old orchards personality and the greens are a little slow but other than that I had another enjoyable round there.

About 3 weeks ago I went over to play the course and the maintainance was very little, the course was over grown and the greens were not puttable. I went out last night and walked 18 holes, in just 3 weeks the amount of improvement I saw over there was outstanding. Greens were puttable, fairways were cut, and the rough was playable yet continued to maintain that Old Orchard challenging course if the fairway was missed. If this is what can be done in just 3 weeks I can't wait to see what it looks like a month from now. Book a tee time and get out there, becuase once word gets around about the improvements made to this course, it will be nearly impossible to get a tee time there!

COVID-19
The course is in rough shape. Understandable as the closing had a lot to due with it. Greens have ball marks galore and very slow, fairways need cutting, the rough was manageable. I’ve played this course in better shape. Overall $70 is too much to pay in the present course conditions.
I won’t book until the course is in better condition. You’ve been warned, play at your own risk and do not complain!
Fast play but less than average conditions
Played round in about 3 hours. Layout is good. Greens were bumpy and slow. Bunkers were absolutely horrible. I never had a flat lie the 3-4 times I was in causing a higher than normal score.

Course is very poor shape
Fairways looked like first cut rough, tee boxes were not even mowed, bunkers had grass growing in them, and greens were terrible. And priced higher or at the same price as many better public courses in NY/NJ area.
Not sure what else to say. It’s too bad because the course could be enjoyable but they haven’t even tried to keep it at a minimum standard.

Vast improvement
Played here many times fav hole is the 7th island hole I was pleasantly surprised how much this course has improved. The Staff very nice. The course was nicely groomed rough all cut down fairways nice really enjoyed my round. I highly recommend you give it a try. You won’t be disappointed!!

There is nothing good about this course!
This course is so neglected it is scary! Horrible conditions ALL around!
Can’t tell the difference between fairways and rough, bunker maintenance doesn’t exist, greens in fair condition, carts are old, dilapidated and falling apart. I wish I could think of a good thing to say. Oh yes I can, pace of play was awesome. I had a foursome in front of me and they let me play through so I finished 18 in 2-1/ 2 hours! They should let them build condos on the property, it would be a vast improvement

Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
You must either have a stake in the course or no frame of reference. I played 3 days after you and the course is in terrible shape. The fairways are mostly rough and the greens, while most were healthy were about 7.5 on the stimp. Bunkers mostly overgrown and beer cans everywhere.
