Unexpected
I play Centerton often and know their struggles with water restrictions. I played Friday 7/19 and was surprised at the condition of the course! Unexpectedly delighted...greens were very nice...fairways were in good shape and the second cuts were rough. Was pleased with the course! Will recommend it as a hidden gem.
Great Shape
I have been to Centerton many times. The condition at the course have never been this good. The days with areas of missing grass and bald spots on the green are a thing of the past.
Always a good time course in great shape stay out of the rough or you will play
Time
Let us off 20 minutes early. We were 3 and a single joined us. We finished in less then 4 hours and cost was only 22.00 with cart. Greens in great shape fairways so so but lack of rain and heat caused that result.
Great course at the right price
Course had the same flaws as always. Hole 13 was flooded out for half the fairway but that's basically expected at this point (they appear to be working on it).
Greens and fairways were in good shape as usual. Course is one of the more fun layouts for an inexpensive course. I'll happily be back multiple times this summer
Second time playing this course and again they put people out on #10 which makes play slow on back nine. Don't know why because #1 was open.
Ranger needs to be fired
Ranger stopped the 4 us at the 9th hole and stated we were 2 1/2 holes behind schedule. We had just hit 1 1/2 hours on the course. We kept the same pace and finished 18 in 3 hours 30 minutes. The ranger was a joke and I guess didn’t know how to tell time correctly or what group we were. Fire the ranger and put his salary into the sand traps. Other then that course was great.
Late start for the Pro Shop
I thought I had the 1st tee time but it wasn’t to be. Arrived 20 minutes early and no Pro Shop. After a few others arrived, still no one in the Pro Shop. It’s now after our start and he arrives.
We decided that we would go somewhere else for lunch afterwards.
The course was in good shape for the rate.
Centerton Golf
The greens are very good
Fairways good with high roughs
Tee boxes for Seniors need improvement
I play here more often than any other
SOUTH JERSEY course
I do recommend to my friends
Week day is best to play
I like the new carts as the former one were pretty beat. The greens were in pretty good condition although they were more firm than usual. Overall I like the course and the layout
Course ok / good value
The course could use a little care. Lots of bad patches of no grass. Don’t know why they use stones for filling in the cart paths. Cost was good for a Monday.
Good layout terrible landscaping
The course it’s self I has a great lay out we played 18 holes but beware the fairway is a terrible length and you can lose high vis balls which is a bummer and somewhat frustrating to lose a ball you hit dead center also no car girl and beers are 5 bucks so no refreshments and you can’t bring your own cooler other golfers behind us “they refused to pair” we’re pushing and finally pass us (we were grouped)
I was trying to figure out more info on this course but couldn't understand what some of this comment was saying, because I couldn't tell where one comment stopped and another started.
