Started Early
All was good. We started at 7:00 am. There was a heavy dew. I thought that golf courses would run a quick mower or something to help dry out the greens. Not that day, maybe because it was Sunday. So we had to putt on wet greens all morning.
Nice course
It's been my home course for over 50 yrs. Open enough to find shots that stray a little. Challenging enough for the average player.
Great course for the money
I got a hot deal to play this course. The tee boxes were definitely showing their end of season wear, but aside from a few patches of rot here or there it was largely in good condition. Staff was friendly and the pace of play was great. Would definitely come back.
Terrible shape
Course is absolutely in terrible shape ! Tee boxes worse I’ve ever seen fairways of crabgrass if you can figure out the fairway cut ! Cheap course but not even worth it
No WATER TO DRINK on the course
For some reason this course and the courses around the area Don’t have water for players on the course. WHY??
Great Value for nice course
Great course for practice and a quick 9 if yiu are short on.time.
Not worth it
I played here with a buddy in a pinch when our other plans fell through. I read the mixed reviews and I believe the bad ones are accurate. This is a golf course not worth more than $30 per round. Save your money or go to Pitman, Westwood, Pennsauken, or one of the many affordable golf courses in south Jersey that aren’t this bad.
No difference between fairway and rough. Greens are a mixed bag of being rock hard and slow. Bunkers are messy. The layout isn’t special in any way.
It is relatively easy.
Great deal
I got a hot deal on golf now and it was worth every penny. Will definitely play there again. Tee boxes were definitely worn out, but the fairways and greens were in generally good shape. People who ran the course were nice as well.
Good value
Located within Parvin State Park, Centerton is well away from any residential encroachments. This is not a fancy meticulously maintained course, but the greens are in good shape, you can normally find your ball if it goes in the woods, and the wide fairways are regularly cut. There are a variety of holes here: long(11), short(12), easy (14, if you stay out of the rough on the left) and hard (16;18).
The challenge here is well-placed bunkers, a decent length to the course, and tricky subtle greens for the most part. Some greens are definitely not subtle (#'s 5 and 8, for instance). It's nice to just get out here without dropping a bundle, and enjoy some peace and quiet, fresh air and exercise. Play here a lot.
