Improving every day
Consider this my local course. The new owners are consistently improving the course as well as the pro shop. Im a sucker for new golf hats and they have added nearly 2 dozen different local club hats since the beginning of the summer. Also the bar always has a rotating stock of great beers on tap.
Improving
Good for the price, seen some improvements, hope they keep it up.
Ok course
Decent course. Greens a little to be desired. Watering and maintenance while playing was a bit unsettling otherwise ok course
Golf at Centerton
The new management is making a serious effort to revive this golf course. The previous management had this course taken down The course needs lots of work. The greens are long better but the fairways have patchy grass.
The weather was great
We were 25 min late due to an online booking that never got to their system. That also created slow play. It was a 5 hr round. Some greens are not good n a lot of rough needs work. A lot of the Sr tee boxes were just a cut out patch and not an actual tee box. But the price was good and u get what u pay for. But if I paid regular price at anytime, I wouldnt Have been too happy
Rough shape
Course had more weeds then my backyard. Also
It would have been cheaper to book direct with the course than through golf now. Ridiculous
It's getting better all the time
They are moving in the right direction, it won't happen overnight but everything is improving.I just hope they don't get too popular and price me out. if you haven't played here in awhile go back and see for yourself,' but don't pay the big big bucks just yet.
Not worth it -- not at all
There are so many decent courses to play in South Jersey that one has to wonder how it is that Centerton is even an option.
First, let's talk fees. We were a threesome. Two of my partners received a "2 for $61 special rate". I was charged the full $49 because I was a single, even though I was part of the threesome. Centerton could have extended the $31 rate to me, but chose not to. That's bad form, certainly not conducive to building good will.
So, what did I get for that $49? A course where every tee was so torn up and unlevel that it was difficult to find a spot where one could comfortably tee off. That is unacceptable at any course.
What else? 16 out of the 18 greens were in such a state of disrepair (huge sections of each green that are dug out, uneven, unkept) that you cannot expect the ball to roll evenly or fairly. It's unacceptable.
Bottom line, we went there because we'd heard if was "under new management" and had been "improved" since our prior visit several years ago. Well, it hasn't. It was worse.
Centerton, you've lost my business forever. Period. Full stop.
A $25 Course
You get what you pay for at this course. They are attempting to improve it. Greens were fairly good shape, tee boxes need a lot of work. Not a real challenging course. Mostly flat and relatively easy.
Nice people at the course both the workers and other players, but would not pay more than $25 to play.
The course has great potential.
The Fairways were in awful shape. They desperately need water. Most of the greens were in good shape.
The sand traps are pathetic. The sand trap at the green of the 6th hole had chunks of sod in it. Ridiculous especially on the Memorial day week end.
The course has a lot of potential. I hope everything is addressed soon.
New owners working hard.
We played this course again on Sunday, Lets start with the staff, They are all pleasant and helpful. The pace of play was fantastic, From my last review the rough has been cut, definitely helping pace of play as you don't have to search for your ball anymore. The fairways are filling at a nice rate, the rough was in really good shape since it was just freshly mowed with no leftover clippings. I have to say the sandtraps are in need of help. As for the greens they are coming along but im sure that it will just be a matter of time. Again i will continue to be honest with conditions and hope the new management continues to improve this course.
New owners and already seeing some positive signs
My wife and I play this course for an affordable practice round. The layout is challenging enough but usually the conditions are par with the affordability. Got there and were greeted by very friendly staff who set us up in brand new golf carts. They just arrived. Greens were in decent shape and fast new flags in every hole. Work was being done on many of the sand traps. The course has a ways to go the fairways need water and the cart paths are bumpy and in need of maintaining but this was the most improvement I’ve seen in the last few years. Hope the new owners continue to work on it. It could be turned into a hidden gem.
Nice layout
Of the many times I played this course over the years, the conditions were the poorest yesterday. Grass on fairways was ok but there was an extraordinary amount of dirt patches on most. Greens were a bit bumpy with some bare spots. The rough was inconsistent and bunkers were basically dirt with a lot of grass growing in them.
The best improvement since the smart phone
I have played this course many times over the past few years. It is no secret that this course needed improvements since then. Since the new owner, Mitch Primas, took over, the course has made very impressive improvements. The price is great, the staff- Thomas, Chad, Mick, and others are friendly and genuine. It is a pleasure to play here and I would recommend it to any golfer. The greens have gone from patches to near perfect in just five weeks. The bunkers are edged and fluffy as they should be. I will continue to play here and am proud to call a course that is 20 miles away from me my home course. Thank you Skitch for the great course l, and not so for your genuine personality that makes playing here an incredible experience.

Never again
The staff in the pro shop was very nice. Other than that, would not play again.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
Meant to say thank you Mitch for your great course and genuine personality that makes playing here an incredible experience. (The last one was dictated)
