Not worth it
I played here with a buddy in a pinch when our other plans fell through. I read the mixed reviews and I believe the bad ones are accurate. This is a golf course not worth more than $30 per round. Save your money or go to Pitman, Westwood, Pennsauken, or one of the many affordable golf courses in south Jersey that aren’t this bad.
No difference between fairway and rough. Greens are a mixed bag of being rock hard and slow. Bunkers are messy. The layout isn’t special in any way.
It is relatively easy.
Great deal
I got a hot deal on golf now and it was worth every penny. Will definitely play there again. Tee boxes were definitely worn out, but the fairways and greens were in generally good shape. People who ran the course were nice as well.
Good value
Located within Parvin State Park, Centerton is well away from any residential encroachments. This is not a fancy meticulously maintained course, but the greens are in good shape, you can normally find your ball if it goes in the woods, and the wide fairways are regularly cut. There are a variety of holes here: long(11), short(12), easy (14, if you stay out of the rough on the left) and hard (16;18).
The challenge here is well-placed bunkers, a decent length to the course, and tricky subtle greens for the most part. Some greens are definitely not subtle (#'s 5 and 8, for instance). It's nice to just get out here without dropping a bundle, and enjoy some peace and quiet, fresh air and exercise. Play here a lot.
Surprise
Conditions really good compared to what is typical for end of summer. Will play again soon
Horrible conditions.
The staff were very friendly however the conditions were horrible. I last played this course over a year ago and it was rough but today was horrible. There was hardly any defined fairway as it was crab grass and tall grass. The tee boxes were rough and the greens were extremely hairy. We would hit where the fairway should be and spend time searching for our golf balls. Definitely will not be back.
Paid Too Much For Poor Course
I’ve golfed hundreds of rounds and this is my first time issuing a review. we paid $67 today for a course that was in horrific conditions. There is no definition between rough and fairway. There was no reward for hitting the fairway as the grass was as long as the rough. The greens were extremely slow and you had a mash your putt to even get it near the hole. The tee boxes were full of crabgrass, and the tee markers were sometimes spaced no more than 4 feet apart. Holes were not cut properly. This course should’ve been $30 at most today and if they couldn’t mow due to rain last few days then lower your greens fee if you know your course isn’t at it’s normal condition. My first time playing this course and I will not go back.
nice day with the grandsons
It was very nice, very hot. Not crowded so playing with my novice grandsons was very pleasant.

Monday at Centerton
Nice day at this course. The course was in real good shape for this time of the season. The greens were in great shape and would be really nice if the previous golfers would fix their ball marks. Pace of play was good with only one group of two being waved past our foursome. We did have some issues with chipping around a freshly cut Par 3. The clippings amount to bogged down shots that punished half of our group. Might wanna consider blowing or collecting the clippings within the same exclusion zone as driving carts.
As for amenities, we chose to go somewhere else for lunch that was closer to home.
Nice course for the money
Course was in good shape, greens were in excellent condition.
Usually has pay now/hot deal option for the morning tee times which make it more worth it. Bare spots in certain areas of each hole but decent value compared to other local courses.
