One of many scenic holes at Spring Meadow Photo submitted by Cory3302115 on 06/23/2014
The staff was good. If you played SpringMeadow before. It was a shock to see help with bags and stuff. Didn’t know they were bought out. The worst part was the tee boxes. I’m sure they we work on that.
Needs TLC
I love this course. The layout is fun with some challenging holes and some easier ones, giving it a good balance. It's also in a remote area so it's very quiet and away from noisy roads.
Unfortunately, the quality of the course maintenance is very uneven. For the most part, fairways are ok, although some have spotty issues such as bald spots. The greens are in pretty good shape. The tee boxes however are in an awful shape, and I mean Awful!. They all need to be redone.
The pace of play was extremely good but I was playing on 90° temperature at noon so the place was quite empty when I teed off.
The staff is very nice.
The price is a little steep for the overall experience but I wouldn't write this course off nevertheless.
Course has improved greatly
Last year this course showed just how little the owners cared about how the players were impacted by the downward spiral of the course conditions. Bridges were collapsed, restaurant closed and grass was not even trimmed. This year, lots of groundskeepers, pro shop was redone (with a pleasant and professional staff) and the overall appearance is greatly improved.
No water
There was not a drop of water on this course on a 96o day. A starter came around with a cooler and offered 1 bottle of water. In spite of having brought 2 bottles, and a thermos myself, I still needed more to complete the round. When I asked the kid in the pro shop why there was no water on course, no cart girl, no halfway house, basically no way to get any more without finding the ranger who had a cooler, he said we don't have water on any of our courses. This is a new management company that took over this year. Apparently they have their own way of doing things and don't really appreciate feedback from their customers.
Beautiful course, very well run
My nephew and I tried this one for the first time and a very relaxing game. Very crowded, but the staff did an amazing job of launching foursomes at a nice regular pace. We were paired up with a couple of lovely gents who shared their extensive knowledge of each hole. We had loads of fun.
The play was so slow
Quit after nine played on a Wednesday morning all old timers three hours for a round of nine couldn’t go another three for 18 never go back no course Marshalls out there making people speed up one of the worst rounds I’ve ever played
Wasted potential
Employees were very nice. 100 degree day 1st 9 great. Caught up to the slowest 2 foursomes on the 10th. They would leave cart in mid fairway walk 70 yards to hit and walk back. Look for balls forever and be on the greens forever. Would wait 15 minutes for shots. The tee boxes were mostly dirt. The greens were like concrete. You couldn't really putt or chip. The ball would fly off the green. Only drinks available. No machines or snacks. The GPS was incorrect. I was told after the 1st hole used to be the 8th hole. The staff was very cordial. It seems like if maintained better could be a very good place. The Golfnow price was great. I will not be going back though.
Tee boxes
Many of the tee boxes were in poor condition with no grass.
Ball washers and drinking water were very limited.
For $80 weeks could have played a far superior course. A course in this condition would should cost $60 and not $80.
tlc
give the new owners some time, this has great potential
Spring Meadow
Course had some holes that needed improvement . Pace of play was very slow for a Friday afternoon . There needs to be a ranger out on the course to move everyone along
