Meadows Golf Club

Wed. in early Oct. and not crowded. Improvements have been ongoing at this course in recent years and conditions are good but not great. Value for the money is good for North Jersey. Fairly open layout makes it forgiving for errant shots. Greens were in good condition and ran true. New carts are a nice addition.

First time playing this and might be the only time. To start with the good things I liked. Hole layouts are fun and challenging with open fairways for new / intermediate players. Conditions of the course was much better than other reviews on here. Greens definitely need to be cut more often. I understand they are trying to bring this course back but the greens were like trying to put on home carpet. Might be the only downside to the course condition. My biggest complaint though is the pace of this course. NOT. A single ranger was to be found to get people to either speed up or slow down groups. My round was over 5 hrs consistently waiting 5/10 minutes at each Tee box absolutely horrendous. Second is the fact the course is tight Tee boxes feel like they are on the previous green. I’ve never heard FOREEEE called out so much. Player not paying attention and just driving across fairways looking for there balls, one group actually picked up my drive which in the fairway! I almost feel bad rating so low because the course was in great condition. I would, possibly play this course again but NEVER again on a weekend. Ohhh and never saw a cart person for a cold drink.

Layout is nice but the course condition not so well.

My playing partner almost got hit by an errant tee shot because the distance between each hole is too close on the first nine. And then we constantly had other group coming onto our fairways and a few groups did NOT even know they were on the wrong fairways. Never coming back here and not even worth time getting angry with those who doesn't know the etiquette!!

I course I as ok , the staff is great and the clubhouse is small but they have a bar and a hotdogs and hamburgers are ready .

During round, 4 separate occasions where a stray tee shot nearly hit us while on an adjacent green

Quality of play for most players was terrible which led to a slow pace and ducking as “four” was too often said with holes too close

It rained the previous day and surprisingly the course wasn’t flooded. It was wet but playable. The course was in great shape because of all the rain we’ve been getting, but the mosquitoes were out, so bring bug spray.

This is a nice course but they have a HUGE mosquito/insect problem! It was the worst experience I’ve ever encountered on a golf course. It was so bad that my foursome had to leave after hole 12. It was that bad. Bugs everywhere, and we were being eaten alive.

Friendly staff and course in good condition. First time playing the new and improved course layout. I would make the following recommendations: update yardage markers (200/150/100) for all holes and a menu for the restaurant at hole 9. I will be back to play more golf!

Last year they did a lot of work on the place . The greens are soft and true. I do love the new layout as well.
