About
Great Gorge Golf Club is situated on 500 acres of naturally preserved land, nestled in the Vernon Valley between the Wawayanda and Pochuck Mountain Peaks. Designed by George Fazio in 1970 on behalf of Hugh Hefner for his Great Gorge Playboy Club, the course boasts 3 championship nines: Rail, Lake and Quarry. With four tee box options, the course is manageable for newer golfers yet challenging for lower handicap players, making Great Gorge an ideal venue for all golfers.

Maitenence
Maintenance was consistently a hole in front of us watering at an 8am tee time. They skipped holes making greens slower and way faster very uneven. On a par 3 a maintenance guy was water and didn’t give way to us.
Best value around with a hot deal. Other than a few wet spots, course in great condition. Always a good play
Great track
Course overall in great condition, so wet areas tho. Starter is a bit of an airhead, doesn’t have a clue. Once you get past that, place is wonderful, with hot deal, can’t beat the value. will def return.

First time playing, but not the last time. No disappointments from start to finish.
Course Rangers
Needs rangers to speed up the play. We got stuck behind a Group of 6 that were not very good. We skipped a hole to get past them.
Hidden Gem!
Great place and great people. Would be nice if they had coffee and/or food available when we got there (~8:30AM) but I don't want to pick on them for that as everything else was superb. This is no doubt because like every business these days its tough to get people to work We will be back!
Good conditions considering the lack of rain we've had.
Ground crews were watering many parts of the courses. Tee boxes and greens were in excellent condition. Some of the fairways were a bit dry and others were being watered. Considering the lack rain the area has had I think the courses were in better condition than most would usually be. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beverage Cart visits were frequent and cart girl was very friendly too. Overall a great day on a great course.
Greens fast but holding, despite drought. Great job by maintenance staff. The starter, Mona, is very friendly and did an excellent job getting us out on time. Highly recommend.
