About
Great Gorge Golf Club is situated on 500 acres of naturally preserved land, nestled in the Vernon Valley between the Wawayanda and Pochuck Mountain Peaks. Designed by George Fazio in 1970 on behalf of Hugh Hefner for his Great Gorge Playboy Club, the course boasts 3 championship nines: Rail, Lake and Quarry. With four tee box options, the course is manageable for newer golfers yet challenging for lower handicap players, making Great Gorge an ideal venue for all golfers.

Always enjoy playing at the Great Gorge.

Great experience
I played the rail and quarry 9's after my first round in 2 years. Course is in great condition and had NO issues locatng balls with leaves falling as the grounds were well manicured. Layout is very scenic and course presents a very fair challenge with some elevated greens.. I would not hesitatto book a round again and reconmend to anyone..
Great test of golf in a Great layout
The great gorge courses have always been a beautiful 27, varied layout that is challenging but a very fair test of golf. Even after the rains with some holes flooded, the conditions were good and greens on great shape given the late time of year. The only issue is the traps that could use some sand.
Wonderful course
Great Gorge was in wonderful shape. Fall golf couldn't be any better. Fairways clean from leaves, greens in fantastic shape. I'd recommend this course to any type of golfer.

Everything was great. Weather, staff, course conditions.
great day 3 hr round with wife
Recently aerated green but fully healed a little soft but great condition. Played on Thursday am- not crowded at all - went out as a twosome and got done quick. Perfect weather for early foliage. Very pretty
