About
Great Gorge Golf Club is situated on 500 acres of naturally preserved land, nestled in the Vernon Valley between the Wawayanda and Pochuck Mountain Peaks. Designed by George Fazio in 1970 on behalf of Hugh Hefner for his Great Gorge Playboy Club, the course boasts 3 championship nines: Rail, Lake and Quarry. With four tee box options, the course is manageable for newer golfers yet challenging for lower handicap players, making Great Gorge an ideal venue for all golfers.

Fun course
First time playing this course. I really enjoyed it. The greens are very undulating and challenging.
Good course condition in the spring
The course is in good condition. Green is fast and slippery. Postiision of approach shot into the green would be critical. Fairways and tee box are in good condition.
Fun Course in Good Shape for Good Value
Fairly easy with nice variety of holes. Fairway and greens were in great condition, Only compliant is lack of hole direction signs as there are several path intersections between the 3 nines along with maintenance paths

great course layout
fun course to play, great layout with lots of natural challenges = have to use most clubs in bag. little far, but good value for $. lower holes can get wet. course staff are great and very helpful.
Not a bad round
For December I really can't complain, course was in decent shape.. Played Lake and rail in under 4 hours.
pace of play
after a frost delay..players should keep in mind the course is almost 2 hours behind.there are certain players that do not understand.we all know who
Need better ownership
Staff did the best they could with what they had. Massive delays to tee off because many carts were dead. This slowed pace of play. Only got 9 holes in due to the delay and slow pace and now it gets dark at 4:30. Range balls are atrocious, maybe bring your own cut up balls to get rid of.
Nice day at Great Gorge
9am tee time went off without delay. Free bucket of balls before round. Staff was friendly and organized. Great pace of play. Course was in good shape. I appreciate the effort in keeping the courses in great condition.
