Great Gorge Golf Club - Rail/Lake Course

Greeted by friendly staff and started on time. Unfortunately,

My start time was on the back end of a tournament and pace of play was extremely slow. The fairways and tee boxes were in good conditions while the greens still had a slight bumpiness from aeration a few weeks ago.

Food at Hef’s Hut was very good.

The course os in great shape. Worth going to and does not get the respect it deserves. The only know is the car paths need repaving. If forced to take a cart, have the conditions better. The golf course tres, fairways and greens were in great shape. Especially for this tome of year

The elderly female starter at this course attended to her familiar customers first, making us wait for a long time. We patiently began our round, but all the greens were aerated. They should have informed us about this situation in advance.

Always a lot of fun, was raining to start but ended up being a nice day.

I am a senior golfer i got there i had to walk a far distance from car parking lot to the pro shop at least you could drop off the clubs and not carry them.i was not told by you Golf Now or the pro shop that they just did informed me that all the greens have been worked on you could not putt your ball it was terrible. i drove over an hour to get there come on you can do better than thisthe day sucked.

Course needs some lovin! Greens were just punched and no warning on GolfNow when booked ☹️ Cart path only due to course being super soaked, should not have been open.

Pulled into a large parking lot and it was nice to have a gentleman driving around picking players up in the lot and bring up to clubhouse.

The woman started has the worst attitude and is harsh! The carts are locked until it is your time to play. She gives us the okay to go to first tee and then she comes flying down the hill screaming at us to stop. Once again screaming to stop and not go to the tee. She is yelling everything is backed up the first couple of tees. She then tell me we have to wait another 20 minutes before teeing off. Turned into 30 minutes. It was okay we had time to practice our putting. Finally get to the tee and the group in front of us took over 15 shots to get to the tee. The first 6 holes we were backed up. The pace was slow-no rangers were present the entire round. Back nine was great. It seems many players dropped off after nine. Greens were recently air rated.

Cart girl was nice in the course BUT her puts were very short. She tried to tell me that a 3 count is all she pours…um no it’s a 5 count.

Had a fun day and will definitely be back.

This was the first time playing the course, the design layout was very good only drawback was the aerated greens, which impacted the scores I would play it again after the greens heal, I would recommend playing the course.

The course should post when the greens have been aerated. They were aerated this week and there was no mention of this on your website so putting was a joke.
