About
Great Gorge Golf Club is situated on 500 acres of naturally preserved land, nestled in the Vernon Valley between the Wawayanda and Pochuck Mountain Peaks. Designed by George Fazio in 1970 on behalf of Hugh Hefner for his Great Gorge Playboy Club, the course boasts 3 championship nines: Rail, Lake and Quarry. With four tee box options, the course is manageable for newer golfers yet challenging for lower handicap players, making Great Gorge an ideal venue for all golfers.

Worth the trip!
3 separate full length 9 hole courses make up this hidden gem. Challenging enough from the tips for those that desire a challenge and very playable for the shorter hitters. The course is always in good shape and the staff is chill. Like the course and the vibe.
Solid Value and Great Layout
Great layout. Three 9s that have lots of undulations and challenging holes. Greens in solid shape for Oct. amenities are minimal, but not lacking. Staff really friendly and accommodating. Only complaint is course pace can get bad and didn't see a ranger more than one time. Too many groups not accustomed to pace etiquette.

who had the bad idea to move the range to a useless location
now it is of no use and a mile away
cant take cart there either
i think they mite want to rethink it

Haven't played this course for 25 years. A buddy and I had a really good time.love the layout and the scenery.lots of challenges on the greens and the approach shots. A good test.
The golf now discounts brought me back!!
Fun Course
Lots of views, great condition, challenging layout
Good Condition need a ranger
The course was in good shape except for bare spots on a few tees. The pace of play ground to a halt on the back 9 as the 2 foursomes ahead of us had at least 3 open holes in front of them by the end & there was no ranger to move them along
Definitely try this place
Overall conditions were really good. Greens looked and played excellent tees for the most part were also ni e. For the price and prettiness go play it!

Greeted by friendly staff and started on time. Unfortunately,
My start time was on the back end of a tournament and pace of play was extremely slow. The fairways and tee boxes were in good conditions while the greens still had a slight bumpiness from aeration a few weeks ago.
Food at Hef’s Hut was very good.
