Weequahic Park Golf Course

We booked our tee time at 6 o’clock for $28 per person. The cart was $18 per person which makes $36 per cart. But the problem arose when we were at the hole 6. The guy came over and told us we need to return the cart in 10 minutes. We paid for 18 holes. We told him we would return the cart after we play the hole 6. The guy argued with us that we won’t be able to finish the hole in 10 minutes. Plus, he told us that they will close the course in 20 minutes. But when we returned our cart, there were 2 different teams starting hole 1. We ended up playing 6 holes for $28. We will never come back and I would recommend everyone to walk if you don’t want to be interrupted to leave the course in the middle of playing.

It is the second time we played here. Both times, we started 45mins late. Needless to say this was also our last time. They start each round every 8 minutes that is too short of a time as you wait 45mins before you start playing and there is just a practice putting green to kill time, no bar, no driving range. Then once you start just one shot behind the foursome in front of you, you will literally wait at least 5mins at each hole. Our teamtime was 3:04pm, we started just before 3:50 and at 7:45 as we were only starting hole 16. The Marshall came to kick us out and asked all players with golfcarts to drive back to the clubhouse. Mind you the sunset is only at 8:30 and we started with a 45mins delays but they don't care as they want to shut the club and go home early. We complained and the marshall threatened us to call the sheriff... No comment! We're not coming back. 15 holes in 4 hours and rudeness. So frustrating.

I forgot to mention that the course is badly designed and we kept having balls thrown at us fromn every directions and 8 players at a time jumping into our holes out of nowhere because they mishit and wouldn't even have the decency and etiquette to let us play our hole before intruding.

My reservation was not found at the course. If it wasn’t for Christina, I would not have been a led to get on.

Course in great shape, greens are in really good shape.

Well maintained course. No amenities available at this time. I like it.

Amazing course the greens and fairways This literally is a gem in New Jersey just golf course if you blink you’ll miss it but it’s one of the best golf courses I played so far this year New Jersey well-maintained friendly clean challenging beautiful golf course I definitely will play a game

Course was in great shape considering the spurts of heavy rain last night.

Weequahic recently had renovations done, and while I'm not sure what they are, the course is a gem even though its very short (6000 yards) by today's standards. Can't believe you are in the middle of Newark. There is not a lick of water and it's easy to score even if you miss the tight fairways. bring your wedge game, you are gonna need it. There are two-three almost driveable par 4's, but you will need to hit half wedges and chip shots for the second shot to VERY small greens. Wind plays a factor on some of the par 3's. I had a 4:24 tee time and we finished 16 of the 18 holes by the time we were ushered off of the golf course (The county sheriffs are apparently adept at getting people out of the parking lot by a certain time). We would have finished if we didn't have to be "in the parking lot" by 10 of 8.

Course is in very nice spring conditions. Easy on the eyes and balls roll true. Greens plushy soft yet fast and sensitive. Was unable to finish the lap due to police shutdown of the surrounding park. Don’t play after 4 if you want to finish the round. Weequahic local gem.
