Harkers Hollow Golf Club
About
Nestled in the hills of Scotts Mountain, Harkers Hollow Golf Club was carved from a sloping hillside, giving it a challenging terrain with plenty of elevation changes. Opened in 1929, the golf course has a classic layout designed by Robert White, the first president of the PGA of America. Although it is a seemingly mild 6,551 yards from the back tees, the course plays much longer and harder thanks to the undulating terrain. The layout does offer a few lengthy holes as well as some interesting par 3s. The greens are small and fast with breaks ranging from subtle to dramatic. There is hardly any water but the Lopatcong Creek does run the entire length of the golf course and requires the occasional carry. The par-3 fifth hole is the club's signature. It is particularly notable for its scenery, which is why it has served as the backdrop for many weddings.

Perfect Afternoon
Great scenery, staff , and amenities. Course was packed due to beautiful Sunday afternoon some golfers holding up the pace but you can’t control that. Definitely will be back!
Decent course.
The course has come along way with the new owners. They are doing a great job reviving the course.
First time and last
Conditions are just awful here. From the tee box , fairway and the greens. First the tee box, the ground is so hard its difficult to put the tee into the ground. The fairways are really bad, due to the lack of grass. Greens are at best average. The front nine is worse then the back nine. The lack of cart path will put your back into spasm. I'm pretty certain that this course does not have a proper irrigation system....... I can't recommend this course to anyone out there
Perfect weather, challenging course
Greens were fine, fairways and tee boxes could use some work. Course is on a side of a mountain. Lots of side hill lies and tricky greens.
Improved
The course is much improved. I avoided this course for a few years due to conditions, but new owners have greatly improved the conditions. Fairways still a bit thin, especially on steeply side-sloped holes, where balls run off even on well aimed shots. Crabgrass was rampant last time I played here - now gone.
Pretty good for price
The greens are excellent, possibly the best in the area. I got this on a hot deal so for $16 this was a fantastic deal. The front 9 is way more enjoyable than the back, however the first 3 holes are straight and boring. I found that all of the fairways on the back 9 were really sloped and just not enjoyable to hit off of. The pace of play was horrendous. I really don’t think this is the staff’s fault though, I just think that the groups in front of me were slow. Lastly, the guy in the club house was a bit rude. Acted as if he had no idea and laughed at me when I asked what their replay rate was
