Man I really didn’t want to do this
Unfortunately the course looked poor. Honestly. Field was burned. There were so many patches of just dirt and rock. Bumpy. Terribly tree roots. Really really funky court layout. It felt like. I was playing at an open park at certain parts. Literally, it felt like being at the park with random people just all around you some areas get extremely congested and awkward. There was a lot of weeds and the rough were in really bad shape in some areas of the far away. It was absolutely horrific. The greens were nice though. I did enjoy all the greens and I thought the carts were really good as well. Staff was super super friendly And no complaints about the staff at all.
2nd time
Cart rental for 9 holes was a little less than desirable
Plainfield West 9
I played this course for the first time. The fairways are located very close to each other so you have to be careful to hit in the right direction. Fortunately, the staff was very helpful in describing the layout. The maintenance crew was watering the greens ahead of our round This was a bit surprising since it slowed us down a bit. There are very short cart paths. We drove from hole to hole on the grass. Overall, it is a great value when compared to other courses I’ve played.
Course in poor condition
It is a tight nine holes course. Fairways and greens in poor condition. Clubhouse is the smallest I’ve seen
Holes are too on top of each other and therefore is dangerous
Home course
Love my home course at Plainfield West 9. I usually treat it as a practice round/range session. Course is in great condition this time of year! I also live 6minute away.. so can’t beat it! Great place for beginners like my wife. Offers itself as a place where everyone can have fun!
Good for a quick 9
You can always find a tee time for a quick 9 on this course. Course layout is tight, so you can get some errant shots from other holes while you play. Need to stay alert. Pace of play was impacted by a sixsome (yes 6 players on the same hole) ahead of us. Overall, a good spot if you just want to get some swings in and not at a driving range.
Good for a quick round of 9 or 18
First time playing this course. Can opt to play 9 or 18. Course is wide open and forgiving. It’s a little tight as the greens and tee boxes in spots are right next to each other. Some errant shots from other players on other holes may interrupt your round. Overall, a nice course for a round.
Good Course for Tuning Up Your Game
A nice small course, with challenging par 3s, it's good for helping tune up your game. Greens were in very good condition.
