Warrenbrook Golf Course
About
Warrenbrook Golf Course is one of five courses operated by the Somerset County Park Commission. Although it is a seemingly mild 6,372 yards from the back tees, don't let the yardage fool you. This course is a formidable test. The layout is very tight, routed through dense stands of mature trees that loom above the fairways and frame the greens. In addition to being heavily wooded, the rolling terrain provides many tricky ups and downs ranging from subtle to dramatic. You'll be hard-pressed to find a flat lie on this golf course and you should also be prepared for a few blind shots. To top it all off, there are also a few strategically placed bunkers. Your accuracy will be put to the test at Warrenbrook Golf Course, as will your course-management skills.

Great course, missing value added services.
The course was great condition, fairways were clean, roughs were a little high. But that’s okay, keeps it challenging.
Pace of play was very slow, waiting on most holes a couple minutes or more, should have course marshals out advancing pace of play.
No beverage cart to be seen, and in the heat that was on Sunday… bev cart should be doing double times.
No morning snacks or breakfast available, kitchen area was closed, vending machine only (cookies, nuts and candy bars).
Hidden Gem in NJ
It was a 50 min drive from GWB. Course was well-maintained and fun to play. A steal at $50 per person if you can get the GP Hot Deal.
Awful Service
Worst course management I've experienced in New Jersey.
The woman in the pro shop was unbelievably rude from the moment we walked in. My playing partner was wearing a perfectly appropriate golf skirt, mock-neck shirt, and hat, yet she was immediately told, "You can't play in that," in a disrespectful tone. She's new to golf and was excited to get out on the course, but instead was made to feel like she didn't belong. We read the dress code and her shirt had sleeves as published. This is a public course—not Augusta National—and there's no reason to treat paying customers that way.
To make matters worse, we paid over $100 with a 6:00 PM tee time and only managed to finish five holes in 2 hours and 15 minutes. We routinely waited up to 10 minutes between shots while the group ahead searched for golf balls on nearly every hole. No ranger in sight to move them along. The slow pace of play was the most extreme I've experienced completely unacceptable.
When I asked if we could receive a refund for the holes we weren't able to play, I was told, "Book an earlier time next time," and, "It's not my fault we don't have a ranger." I pointed out the employee driving around in a cart labeled "Ranger," and she simply shrugged her shoulders and said too bad.
Her explanation was that a youth program had teed off around 4:00 PM, causing the backups. If that's the case, customers should be informed before paying for a twilight round so they can make an informed decision. Instead, nothing was mentioned, and we paid full price for barely half a round.
Between the poor customer service, disrespect toward new golfers, lack of pace-of-play management, and refusal to take any responsibility, this was one of the worst golf course experiences I've had. I won't be returning.
No drinking water walking 18
The golf course and the staff were excellent however, my one criticism would be not finding any water fountains or coolers. ????
Great hidden local course
Great rolling, hilly hidden public golf course.
Most of the par 3s and 4s are short on the yardage , but enjoyable to play with a few hidden/blind shots.
Will definitely play again and would definitely recommend playing.
Keeps getting better
Played here seldom over 25+ years due to pace of play and conditions. Over the past 5+ years, the course has done completely turned around. Will play there with frequency going forward.

nice place, great value. Pace of play varies depending on who you paired to.
My tee time was 2:30 and I did not get to play until 3:40 because the course was running out of golf carts. There was no ranger on course to keep the pace going. The office just kept signing people in. It was a mess.
Warrenbrook
Fairly short course. The difficulty is in the hills and tight, tree lined fairways. The par 5’s all have dog legs that make for interesting tee and second shot decisions. Decent amount of elevation changes. Friendly staff. Have never seen a ranger on the course ensuring pace of play keeps moving. No alcohol sold at the course.
Layout
The course was in great shape. The staff could not be any nicer. Greens were beautiful. Fairways were well maintained and the leaves were all blown off. But the layout is horrible. 8, 10,11 are all blind shots. Nearly hit someone on 10 because I had no idea they were there. 11 was hit and hope. It’s a shame the design is so poor
