About
Warrenbrook Golf Course is one of five courses operated by the Somerset County Park Commission. Although it is a seemingly mild 6,372 yards from the back tees, don't let the yardage fool you. This course is a formidable test. The layout is very tight, routed through dense stands of mature trees that loom above the fairways and frame the greens. In addition to being heavily wooded, the rolling terrain provides many tricky ups and downs ranging from subtle to dramatic. You'll be hard-pressed to find a flat lie on this golf course and you should also be prepared for a few blind shots. To top it all off, there are also a few strategically placed bunkers. Your accuracy will be put to the test at Warrenbrook Golf Course, as will your course-management skills.

A very challenging course with excellent staff. There was a couple ahead of me hitting 2/3 balls every hole with no respect for people waiting behind them
Fun course...wide open...and playable even in the rain. A little wet in places where it doesn’t drain well but overall a great morning
Slow pace kills rhythm
I love this course! But... the pace of play and some conditions can be a killer!
For one thing, they need rangers.
The last two times we played, we were stuck with foursomes in front of use who were spending more time looking for their balls in the woods than actually playing.
Players were putting twice and leaving discarded beverage bottles on the greens.
Top that off with NO one repairing ball marks on greens and divots on the fairways and it make for a tough to take round.
All that being said, I do like the course; it is very challenging and has a diverse layout with blind tee shots, dog-legs and water.
it is better early in the season because they actually take care of the grounds... by last weekend, the tee boxes were in terrible shape and the greens were a mess.
I recommend this course bit ONLY with some sort of coupon or Hot Deal.
Need Rangers
Pace of play is brutal. Need to have course rangers. Too many beginners that play from the blue tees, rehit off tees, don’t fix divots, and don’t care about pace of play etiquette. Great short layout. Course was not in good condition.
Excellent...But...
I love this course! It is not too long but very challenging. I really like the doglegs and blind turns.
Just enough slopes and hills to force you to think about shot placement yet a couple of easy holes to calm you down.
I don't know when the other reviews were written but the course is not in good shape. typical of a public course, few divots are replaced and fewer ball marks on greens are tended to. tons and tons of weeds and crab grass on the fairways are a blot on an otherwise great course. Staff tied to blame the weather but I have recently played elsewhere and didn't see these conditions.
still, all-in-all I highly recommend this course as long as you get a discount of Hot Deal.
Great Course
Course was in great shape, it is very challenging with narrow and sloping fairways, many blind shots and dog legs. Might be very challenging for the mediocre golfer as myself. Fun though. Great value for the cost.
In great condition, friendly staff
Greens are in great shape. Best deal for 18 & cart in north jersey that I have seen given the quality of the course. Not a long course, but narrower fairways make it challenging.
Good Course, Slow Pace
Course was in good shape, booked a Golf Now hot deal and played in afternoon. Went out as a twosome, and eventually caught up to a foursome that was extremely slow and would not let us play through. Ended up having a 4.5 hour round, which was ok but not great. Course itself is a nice layout, very narrow but not too long. Greens in good shape but slow.
Tight & Blind shots...
This course has too many blind shots, from tee Box, fairway and to the green..., some areas are tight and dangerous.., beginners all over which makes even more dangerous. Perhaps knowing this course bette,r could enjoyed better, but as first timer, it was extremely stressful, and i hate blind shots!. Last 3-4 holes were ok though... Greens are really well maintained. Very similar to mountain type courses of PA
Nice place, nice course
Played Sunday afternoon, Father’s Day. First thing me here and it was a little disorganized. Minor issue. Starter was very friendly, paired me up.
Course was in good shape, hot day so greens were fast, but in very good shape. My only serious complaint was the lack of water on the course. Not even warm water. It was a very hot day, close to 90 and there was one spot for water and it was empty.
