Preakness Valley Golf Course - West

The course was nice but the weather was damp and cold. there was a lot of sand laid out which was odd but I understand that is normal on the greens (not fairway so much).

I feel very comfortable to play this course.

Next time I would try to walk at least 9 holes.

I have to say, we really enjoyed the layout of the course and how much fun It was,. it is challenging yet it always gives you a chance to score well. We played 12/28/22, it was about 40 degrees out, still the fairways were good, the greens were kind of frozen and had a lot of sand on them but it is almost January, with that said it was still playable. I am hoping to play this course a lot more this coming year!

I know the weather played a big part in this review, the ground was frozen and inserting a tee in the ground was impossible. We did want to play even though it was cold so we understand.

The conditions were good considering we had 2 days of moderate rain. The course was well taken care of.

Excellent track for a muni

Fairways, roughs, bunkers, greens, cart paths all excellently maintained. Polite staff. A really good course for that price.

I am really beginning to like this course. The greens are fantastic. It is obvious the amount of money and work that has gone into both West and East courses. Tee times are difficult to get but not impossible. The restaurant is very good and has entertainment on weekends. Great overall wxperience.

The course was in very good condition. The layout on the east course was a little confusing. They need direction signs to the 1st tees and the pros hop. It was a little difficult finding where to go, as a 1st timer.

Having played the West Course a few weeks prior, I jumped at the chance to play the East when my Thursday morning freed up.

What a treat.The conditions were terrific, weather-wise and also groundskeeping. Greens are a little on the quick side and I was actually surprised at how firm the green s were given the recent rains.Pace of play was fine -- did a full round at just 4 hours exactly.

The track itself is a nice one -- not too long form the whites, no over abundance of trees, and fair layouts. Speaking of the layout, it does have several forced doglegs and blind holes.Im not typically a fan of these but once again, mostly fair without being gimmicky.

Would definitely recommend.
