Preakness Valley Golf Course - West

Friendly staff. Course was in good shape and pace of play was great.

Fairway condition is good but slow green. Too many ball marks on green, nobody fixes ball marks.

Everything was great except one staff member. Please note that most of the staff (from pro shop to service)was exceptional but for the 2nd time there was one member of the team ( a different member from last time) that was very unhelpful. I’m not sure what would make someone want to work at a golf course (other than maintenance) if they have no people skills.

For a muni this course is in great shape. It's been really taken care of. The greens are a bit slow and the bikers could use some sand, but all in all a good day at the course.

Good place to play even for beginners. Courses were in nice condition. Overall layout was simple but straightforward.

Carts have no rain covers. Why are two towels not in each cart? Isn’t that standard? Love layout and course condition is prime otherwise. Also the food after the round was delicious.

Second time on west. I’ve played east once. West is a bit more challenging.

Given the weather lately the course is in great shape. Bunkers could use some TLC but that seems to be every course at the moment.

Staff is friendly. In the clubhouse and the starters have always been social and smiling. Starters seem to keep the pace very well.

Seems like round costs are up all over so not sure how to gauge value anymore. That being said the course is pretty well maintained and the staff is great. Played as a twosome each time here. On east we went out as a twosome. West both times we had great pairing and the other twosome were fun to play with. Great course and close by for me. Will definitely play here again.
