Mountain View Golf Course

Got a hot deal, and couldn't pass it up. We were worried we wouldn't be able to play because there was a storm coming. We got in all 18 with a few spritzes and a little wind. Lots of deer to watch at this course, too. What a beautiful time it was. Nice pace of play, only a few times did we have to wait for those in front of us, and only briefly. Leaves are starting to fall, so if you don't hit straight you may want to bring extra balls!

Had a very nice round at Mountain View. Starter was very flexible as one member of our group was late and we were able to move our start time. Course was in very good shape, given the lack of rain we've had. Luckily we were playing with another group who had played the course before, specifically on hole no. 3 which is a blind tee shot with a water hazard that is definitely within reach with a driver and the hard ground conditions.

It was a sunny Wednesday, and the greens were being aerated, which kept the course fairly quiet. My twosome quickly caught a slower playing foursome. The ranger (Joe Rhodes) quickly observed this, and arranged for us to skip the 9th and 10th holes, play the rest of the back 9, and then return to 9 & 10 to complete our round. This saved us about an hour of waiting, and we enjoyed the rest of our round.

It wasn't just that Joe did his job, but it was how he did it that will keep me coming back. He made sure that we and all of the groups around us knew exactly what his plan was, and he was there or us every step of the way to make sure we found our way. I've played golf for over 20 years, and I've never had a better experience with a ranger. Thanks again, Joe! We sincerely appreciate your service and dedication. Lesser rangers would not have bothered.

First time playing. Challenging holes. Overall time spent playing was fine but if golfers in front moved we could've been done in 3.5 hours. Hate wIting for each shot on a hole

Mountain View was in very good condition considering the hot humid weather conditions they have had for several weeks. The greens were soft and receptive, the fairways were good and most tee boxes were in good shape

Enjoyed the course. Happy to see Marshall's out there keeping the pace of play. Greens were true and fast. Will definitely come back Staff was very friendly . Would of liked to see a cart person on the course.

I played Mountain View yesterday and the course is in pretty good shape but the "Boss" of the groundskeepers would not move from right in front of a green as we approached and when I said something to him about us not being able to play and his safety being in question he didn't seem to care and told me that if I complain, it just comes to him anyway so it doesn't matter. He was also condescending in his tone and demeanor.

Also they charge you a fee to make a tee time for which I don't see a justification.

I won't be back. I can play courses as good as this a lot closer to home and they don't charge me to book.

Course was in great shape. Greens were soft, smooth and in great shape. The rough was ruff. Keep your shots in the fairway to stay out of trouble. Course will be long for short hitters. Some of the par 3's are over 200 yds.

Great course layout for a public facility. Very good shape, good pace.

Decent layout with a few nice holes but conditions were very inconsistent lie to lie and the greens were bumpy and hairy. Okay for a muni I guess. Great cart girl but service in the grille room was slower than molasses, almost missed my tee time because it took 30 minutes to make a chicken salad melt.

Some interesting and challenging holes. The course was in good shape. The greens were slow and with a few exceptions were very similar to each other - small and oval shaped with not much break. The course is ok, but nothing special.

Fun woodland style course, with some interesting holes and great greens. First time playing here and I have nothing but praise for how well kept the greens were. I believe it takes all aspects of your game to shoot low here, totally worth the hour ride.

Hadn't played Mountain View in about 10 years -- great upgrades to the course and facilities. Traditional course requires all shots, but is fair and fast. Small greens, fairly tight fairways, but plenty of openings. Great value with Golf Now discount.

Decent shape but very slow greens. Rangers were friendly and active. Played on a Tuesday mid day in 4 hours. Clubhouse staff are grumpy though.

This was the first time I played this course, but definitely not the last! The course conditions was top notch, and the layout is great too! One thing that stood out was the greens, being that it is a public course I had my doubts, but I can say with certainty that those greens were amazing!! They rolled true and were consistent throuout 18! This course definitely became one of my favorites!!! Well worth the money! And the staff was great too!

I've played this course a few times before but I've never seen the course in better shape. The fairways and greens were both in perfect shape. There wasn't a soul in front of us so we played 18 in under three hours, making the experience even better. The Rangers were nice guys and kept leaving balls on the tees for us as we'd approach. We had a great time!

Had there not been an impression of unwarranted demanding the pace of play, inquiring our starting time on the course when we were keeping our pace very well to complete the round within four hours and no other players were in sight before or after us, everything was the best and perfect, including the check in at the office!

Staff was friendly and helpful. The weather did not cooperate but we were given a rain check toward our next visit. Which I'm sure will be soon.
